looking to swap an np241 where my np208 is currently, running a th400 tranny. whats the easiest way to make this work? the np241 is from an 89 and the 208 is an 85. anyone know?

I know that tranny/t-case combo was available in 3/4 suburbans around '89-91. So, there should be adapters out there...check out the junkyards.
The adaptor should be the same you just need a 241 with a 32 spline input. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

anyone know if the inputs from the 208 and 241 are interchangeable? like swapping the 208 input to the 241?

The input from a 208 will not fit a np241 and you will need to find one from a truck that had a 5-speed or a 400 trans.
