th400 tranny HD

I could have bought a new in the wooden crate millitary th400 HD tranny for $150 bucks. The flywheel housing would have need to be drilled so I could fit the cover over it. What was I thinking. I missed out on that one. Can you even get new GM th400s today from the dealer?

Not even a "Mr.GoodWrench" one???.....I fugured a dealer would still be able to get a new or rebuilt one;seeing they used the TH400 right up into the 90's..

dont know if i would trust the rubber seals inside a tranny that hasnt been run for years in a creat would be my only scary point.

and if going in to gas motor will need gov swaped to gas and if comes with conv will need gas unit.
