Never heard an update on how things have gone for him. Anyone remember who it was or maybe he'll chime in. I just remember he had a K5 with a badass rear axle(trussed but still leaf springs).
 
His name is Jay and his username is Blazinaire. He doesn't post here anymore, but I talk to him occasionally here in Santa Maria, I got to go to work now, so I write up more when I get back.

His better half and himself were at Blazer Bash . He stayed one space over from me at Slickrock , they hung out with us at camp . Wheeled with us Monday . Pretty good folks , and well built "jumping" truck :thumb:
 
I haven't talked to Jay (Blazinaire) since last fall. Last I heard he wants to get rid of his Trailreadys because he doesn't trust them. Trailready replaced the defaulted rim, and I think Jay may have won a civil suit against Trailready since he got injured when the rim came apart.

Jay has done a 52 spring swap in the front with a custom front bumper integrated into an engine cage holding 2.5 Fox Shoxs. It's a cool looking Blazer.
 
dude. I was friends with Jay. And ducttape also! I miss talkin to those guys. Anyway what happened to him with the rim? I missed the story
 
Ya I think I meet them in 2002 in Moab & maybe at Pismo...or both..I may have even gave one of them a front stub shaft...that was a long time ago and my brain is toast :doah: forgot all about thoes dudes:eek1:
 
YA! Ducttape and Blazinare are a couple of bad a$$ MoFos hope all is cool with the two of them. :D
 
Had a blast wheeling with Jay and Ducttape (matt?) at BB '03. Was really cool watching Ducttape drive up the double whammy like it wasn't even there...

I wonder why those guys aren't on CK5 anymore?

jay moved to so cal for a while, he stopped hanging on ck5 around that time, and i dont know about matt.
 
Oh boy, I have a lot of typing to do.

Anyway, Ducttape and Blazinaire moved down to the San Diego area two to three years ago looking for better jobs. Jay (Blazinaire) stopped posting because he got busy at his job. Matt (I think that’s his real name. I always knew him as Ducttape) wasn’t as successful at finding a job. He didn’t have any spare money to pay for a CK5 membership, so he stopped posting.

Then Jay got hurt and couldn’t work, so both Matt and Jay and their girlfriends got homesick and came back to the Central Coast. They all live in Santa Maria now from what I last heard from Jay last fall.

Ducttape’s truck has been sitting, and I hear Ducttape is now into crotch-rockets.
 
what kind of injuries did he sustain? did he fully recover? just herd he was hurt real bad.
 
yeah i never heard the end of that story... its sad to see some of the old guys leave.
 
I don't know the extent his injures since I've talked to him a while after his accident. I'm thinking about checking to see if user profile still has his E-mail address and send him an e-mail.

Edit-no such luck, he has blocked his E-mail address on CK5. Only the Administer can contact him.
 
i cant believe i remember this, but wasn't it like 110fasterthanu or soemthing to that effect?
