Yes I did it. And re, re, re did it. And now I am going to redo the rear arms. Bent one really bad on Holy Cross here in Co. Truck was not buit for rock crawling.

December here. I took that picture about a week after I had the truck running for the first amount of time since I bought it. I broke the steering arm off the D44 knuckle shortly after getting some 35"s under it while it was mostly stock. I drug it home, parked it in the driveway, and spent about a year punching rivets for the new suspension, rebuilding the tcase, making a crossover system, swapping in 1-tons, etc. That day I took the picture was one of the last trips the truck went on with 35"s. About a month later I sold those and got some 40"s because the axle clearance was so much worse than my buddies that run 35-37s with D30s and D44s.

Best part of that day was the pork roast that was cooking on the exhaust manifold

my rig was chosen for April.......
It was taken at the final "obstacle" coming down Odessa Canyon in Calico. I was a little worried before I entered the squeeze because 2 jeeps ahead of me smacked their tops on the rear passenger side, but I came thru without a scratch. If you look closely at the pic, on the right side in front of my rig you can see a patch of asphalt. The trail used to be an old mining road, flash floods keep it interesting.

The day started slow, we happened upon a side-by-side with a broken front axle and of course the guys had no tools or spare parts. Several of us just manhandled the "cart" off to the side so we could pass, 1 of the guys hitched a ride back to his truck then went into town for the necessary repair items. It was their 1st time out and wanted to see what it could do.
