The $50 F250

Gutted all that crap on my kids '93 460. Way better. Fords always sound so good. My buddy said it's due to the cylinder number and firing order compared to Chevys. Mt IMT crane on my work truck has the proportional control. So nice to have. Stuck with the hard wired remote though but it's only an IMT 2020 so not real big.

I’m sure somebody like Kartech could set you up with a wireless one, but them old IMT wired units are rock solid. Rewired a friends 1992 IMT 2015 on their ‘02 F550 for them a couple years ago. I still get pics of it in use as they wonder how they ever lived without it. Truly a game changer once you have one

Next quick little evening project (early November last year) was redoing the toolbox mount. When I first put the truck together it was just sitting on a shelf but farm abuse And rough roads destroyed that. Little angle and 1” square and this mount as retained the old craftsman box and stood the test of time.

Also wired in my temporary permanent compartment lighting while I was outside that night. The compartment light is just a 3/4” round trailer marker and the work light is just an Amazon unit. There’s two on the rear of the service body and one per side on the headache rack.

As you can see Mother Nature was trying to shut me down but I wasn’t listeningX

Mid November came and the crunch was on to get the Dana 60 front installed before winter since the TTB was dying. First step was getting the better springs out back and 4.56 gears in the 10.25. No pics of the 10.25 getting gears installed by my friend but this was after I got home with it. And slid it under the truck.

Quick and dirty airbag mount for the ruff stuff spring plates.

Overall I’ve been happy, I still need to add leafs to the right rear because that airbag still has 80+ PSI in it vs 20psi in the left one. Sooner or later the airbag mount will kill the frame. But for now it’s still just getting used and abused and has stood the test of time.
