Your timing is quite ironic on this one, between the engine being one step above dead and the utter failure of the steering box causing me to about kill myself I parked it. Still have the 60 for it and a 99 5.3 that will end up in something else at some point. Basically stole this trucks replacement yesterday, friend of mine pretty much insisted I own it.
That ugly ass topper is coming off today, good lord itshideous. The first 4x4 truck I owned was a 1993 K1500 of this color so this one albeit crusty tugged at the heart strings a bit. Except this one is a grandpa special 4.3 5 speed. I'm going to use it to drag the 92 to its final resting place here after awhile
Got it home today, it's always gonna be ugly but it looks much better now

Hah I was thinking the same thing. I was cleaning the cab corners on my 2001 Chevy HD... and thought if this thing lived up north I'd likely have some impressive rust contend with by now.
It's a sad fact of life I hate but have grown used to. So I run alot of beaters

Got the manifolds replaced then got a glasspack and turndown stuck in to replace the junk muffler. Doesnt sound like a complete crap now.
Never mind the ghetto hanger, learned the hard way that I'm out of 7/16 rod. So some strap had to suffice.
