finally got the videos uploaded from shiloh ridge for november and december.... there are a few...

FIRST TIME 38.5's pump NOt turned up...my friend daniel is drivin.......

This is after some kid in a $40,000 rock buggy took almost 20 minutes to crawl up this thing...everyone was talkin **** about my truck cuz it looks like a piece...daniel walked up it in like a minute 30 :D :

this is the same day, daniel decided to take a "harder route" and trashed the rear driveshaft on a rock, sending all the power to the front shaft and blowing it up....i wasnt mad :doah::

SECOND TIME:
so we took it home, built a rear shaft out of like schedule 60 oil pipe, and built the front with a 1350 CV, put 44s on it, cut the **** out of the fenders, TURNED THE PUMP UP, and I drove....this is the same "harder route" :

sooo i went at it again on a differnet side and almost came close to being near of fixin to roll my **** (camera does no justice)....photobucket only lets you upload 5 minutes so the other 30 seconds it took me to make it up were cut out on the upload....anway here ya go :eek1: :

THEN....i totally screwed up my door and bedside on this rock as well as shot an axleshaft through my locking hub, wtf? BUT daniel is a ****ty camera guy so he turned it off to spot me soooo NO video of hub breaking, and BARELY video of the bed getting screwed up....fun to watch none the less :haha: :

I couldnt watch the last three videos because they wouldnt load for some reason but the first two were pretty good. THis hill is really easy to get up now when stay close to that tree. That undercut is pretty much gone because a buddy of mine was coming up it and hit that ledge and it broke off. Last time I was out there in my truck I went to the far right which get kind of narrow and that tree that is laying over there took out the side of my bed. I got all the way to the top and then when I would gas on it the carb would choke out and I couldnt quite get up it. It pissed me off but I plan on going all over that hill next time I am out there.

well thanks guys! :D

yea i noticed that spot is getting easier and easier as it gets tore up....i wish there were more rocks out there but its fun none the less....

Its is a good place to go to and test out your stuff before you go to a bigger park. I am actually only 30 minutes away so it is nice for me. You are actually closer to gilmer than shiloh and gilmer is way better.

yea, ive yet to go out to gilmer...a couple of buddies of mine go out there every once in a while, i just havnt been able to get offa work the dates they go...shiloh is fun tho...the enviroment there is alot different from some other "parks" ive noticed...thats kinda why i like it there...it pretty much do whatever the hell you want, no rules kinda deal...we should get a group of us out there one day all together...i normally post up before i head out there and noone seems to ever be able to get up that way but i understand ppl have families and ****, or there stuff is never runnin (i know the feeling), or finances keep them from goin (been there too)....but ONE DAY, we will get a group out there and mess around and drink some beer! :D

Your truck is awesome man, i want to go out to Gilmer sometime also. But my k5 is not up and running right now. I need to re gear the front axle and some other stuff, but i would love to go out there some time.

Yeah hopefully I will have my junk together next month and be able to take it out there in febuary sometime for a test run and then really beat the piss out of it in april during the truck rodeo. I will let you know when we decide to head out there. I usually have about 3 or 4 rigs in my group when we go. Once I get my junk running I can usually go to shiloh just about anytime. It is close to me and doesnt cost a whole lot to go.

screw them dude, that truck is sweet!

thanks guys!! :D i hope to see you guys out there memorial day at least!! ima try to make it out the las cruces NM in february i think...anyone game??

very nice. i'm sure you would have preferred not to grenade so many parts, though.

since people are mentioning gilmer, that place is fun. they have light mess-around trails and hillclimbs, as well as some much more challenging stuff. lots of rock, but even more dirt, so the terrain does change quite a bit.

my first trip out there, we had 3 full-size chevies and one jeep wrangler, so we stayed to the wider trails, but we've also gone with jeep groups :doah:and they love that tight junk. definitely not a place for long and low vehicles (tight turns and plenty of spots to high-center) or IFS.

thanks, ya i would have like to keep my **** together for the most part...but i ended up with both driveshafts stronger than before...i found recently that new decent locking hubs are in the area of 200 bucks....BUT 35 spline outers conversion WITH locking hubs AND ujoints just 350 :eek1:! ill probably go that route...ima try to make it out to gilmer sometime this year...sounds like fun:D

I know some people that are going to Las cruses in february. A friend of mine has a '04 jeep unlimited on 2.5 ton rocks, rear steer, stak III, 47" LTBs, and coilovers that he just recently finished up. He is taking it out there.

wow souds pretty bad ass....hopefully i can get the money together for a 35slpine upgrade and a cage before i get out that way....also need to do somthing different for the rear suspension...im thinking 3/4 elliptical or mabey just moving the ORD hanger and getting a longer shackle....not sure yet....

That aint **** tied up in a D60. A friend of mine has '93 suburban on 44"s TSL's, D60 front, 14BFF rear, Vortech 454 swapped in, and Stak III and he would always blow u-joints and that would take out the shafts. So he put in Some $500 u-joints, and all new yukon 35 spline shafts and hasnt broke them yet. Then he was blowing hubs ALL the time and they were the warn good ones. HE finally had to step up to Dynatrac hubs made from 300M material. They are freakin sweet!! If they ever break they stay locked in that way you can keep on wheelin!! And they run him about $500. In the 14BFF he had a detroit and he blew it up last time we went to hot springs and it broke a 14BFF shaft. SO he put chromoly and ARB!! He has about $10K tied up in a D60 and 14BFF. He should of just order dynatracs to begin with.

Here is a pic of the suburban. You may of seen it at shiloh before. This is in arkansas on the hill where you broke the rear detoit and shafts.

Yeah you have a point and most people would of but he has this whole thing about being able to drive it on the street. He was on a 5 diamond in arkansas one time and someone broke a driveshaft on his rig. Well they all loaded up in the suburban drove off the trail and into town and got the driveshaft fixed and drove back to the broke rig. He applyed for ultimate adventure so hopefully he will be in it this year. I will driving his tow rig if he does make it!!

i take pride in having my truck street legal as well :D ....daniel has been arguing this point with me for YEARS....but i believe the only thing illegalish with rockwells is the pinion brake...which i would use only as an e-brake...i plan on discs at every wheel, hopefully with 8-lug conversions (mabey they will be down in price by then)....then my 14ff and d60 will be under daniels rig:doah:
