Alright, so I've been a member of this forum for quite some time, but spend most of my time lurking (as you can see from my post count). I thought I'd share the truck I've been building.

Here it is. An 89 crew cab dually with about 5" of lift and 37's

I drove the truck for awhile with the 454, but then I found this.

I picked up a beater to drive back and forth to work and I pulled the 454, TH400 and 205.

I've wanted to build one of these trucks for a long time and had already built one in my head. I decided to smooth the firewall and run an under dash heater/ac unit. They look cleaner, blow colder, and leave the engine compartment open for more room to work with.

looks like a ve pump 12v out of a 1st gen dodge and is that an NV4500 with a passenger side drop 205?
 
This is the same truck that was pictured towing one of seans trucks? Nice looking. forward to progress!
 
are you permanently deleting the a/c??
That would be surprising, considering where you are.

When the truck had a 454 in it I converted the ac to R134a and was not impresed with how cold the ac blew. I also think the heater core / evaporator cover is ugly under the hood. I decided to replace the whole heater/ac system with an under dash unit from Vintage Air. It blows colder air and leaves the engine compartment looking much better
 
I cleaned and painted the motor and set it in place.

I also took care of the killer dowel pin. For those of you that don't know, this little pin is used to locate the timing cover. It can really raise hell if it falls out and gets caught in the timing gears. Mine had worked its way almost all the way out. A simple tab over it keeps it in place and keeps it from ever being an issue.

I spent a decent amount of time figuring out the hydraulic clutch. I decided to use a Wilwood master cylinder and the stock dodge slave cylinder. I made a custom stainles line with the correct fitting for the slave cylinder and used AN fittings to attach to the master cylinder. I then connected the master cylinder to a stock mechanical clutch pedal assembly

The dodge frame is wider than the Chevy's, so both the ac compressor and the vacuum pump diaphragms hit the frame. Solving the vacuum issue was simple. I wont be running anything that requires vacuum so I removed the diaphragms and made some blocks off plates.

The dodge alternator was shot, and the ac compressor was too (and it also hit the frame) so I fabbed new accessory brackets that mounted the chevy alternator and also a universal sanden compressor. I made the new brackets from 3/8" plate and cut them on a water jet

The 91 dodge donor truck was not intercooled and I decided to leave it that way at first. I wanted to drive the truck and see how it did. I spent the next month or so saving money and gathering up more parts for the truck.

I was less than impressed with the way the truck handled a trailer. I couldn't pull anything without my egt's being through the roof. I decided to swap the stock H1C turbo for a WH1C turbo from a newer truck. I also added a water to air intercooler and water methanol injection to keep the egt's manageable

I got ahold of an intake horn that was used on a freghtliner with a 6bt in it. It looked perfect but when I went to install it I found it was too short and caused the intake tube to contact the valve cover. I decided to make a spacer for the intake horn. As I was mocking this up the light bulb upstairs came on. The Snow Performance system requires a boost port and 2 injection nozzles. I decided to incorporate the extra ports into the spacer, and even added a couple extra in case I ever need them.
