The DSPRO budget Blazer build

That one I can believe. Again, nice trade. :D

Hope it doesn't distract you from the project for too long...

It's not event the project that will be taking up the shop. I have to build a fake-rock display for the Portland International Auto show in early Feb, and it takes about 1 month to build.

Just took advantage of some Cyber Monday action:

-Tuff Country 3" Lift HD Leafs from SDtrucksprings.....$335 Shipped.
-4" Shackle flip, Easy Inch kit, 14 bolt and Dana 60 Ubolts, tied 4.5" Shackles from Diy4X.....$397 Shipped.

$732-677 Remaining = -$55!

Once these things come, I'll be diving into an axle swap and then selling the Orange truck, which will bump my build budget back into safe territory!

UPS complained about the weight! And the box was half open, but we've got parts! More coming tomorrow!

This is awesome! Would like to do the same type of budget build when I start on my 77 here real soon. Job well done.

I moved the Blazer down to my friends house so when axle swap time comes they will be together. Expected date for that is end of Feb, Early March hopefully!

After the Axle swap I'll do the head gasket.

I took one beadlock down to the truck and did a test fit. It looks like I'll definitely need the wider hubs:

The steering knuckle hits the wheel, and there isnt any thread sticking through the wheel for nuts.

In the back, the wheel fits the 14 bolt fine, but if I get the wider hubs for the front, will it be wider than the back? Here's the back:

Or, thinking ahead here, would it be better to keep the current width axle and ditch these beadlocks, and find some 17" aluminum wheels of proper offset?

What do you guys think,

-2" Spacers (aluminum) for $100 on CL, use my wheels n tires.

-DRW hubs for front. Use my wheels n tires.

-H2 17"'s w/ average 37" BFG's for $350 on CL, sell my wheels n tires.

I would prefer not to recenter my wheels.

Hmmmmm.

Whats you intended use for this truck?

Only true wheelers need double beadlocks.

Honestly I am running mine more for trail serviceability.

If you don't plan on wheeling hard I would run the h2 wheels. More options for tires down the road too.

Moderate wheeling/exploring.

It also seems like the SRW hubs are much more desirable, as they fit the common 17" wheel offsets. If I got rid of them, then changed to normal wheels/tires, I'd need them again!
