The farm truck.

Cough cough wink wink
All we were doing was idling around the hay field then pull over to unload at my corrals and then back to the hay field. Drinking and farming always goes together.

Oh and thanks to @Bent77 I got my high idle back to low idle thanks to a little WD40 for now.

Oh I know. Just gotta be sure to specify with all these nanny state types running around these days...

Luckily the good ole CK5 is mostly a bunch of dudes that recognize the difference between a brewski on the farm vs. the other...

Gah! Not sure which is worse. The beer or the 465.
Actually my wife took the pic, she was driving and it was her beer. But I was also drinking one. It hurts my guts less than the good normal beer does these days. Plus it all sucks ass at 3.2% in Utah. I like the 465, I'm too broke for anything better.

This will probably be getting some work done soon as I'm selling my other diesel tow rig this is getting bumped to the new camping/all around truck. I'm think clean up and make nicer and add B&W turnover gooseneck and then on to a possible 4x4 conversion. We will see.

Oh yeah first thing on the list though is new steel brake lines on the rear axle. I drove it to work the other day and lost most of the braking and the brake light came on it the dash. It's got a pinhole in the pass side line right by the tee.

Just pinch it off. Farm trucks don't need brakes.

Good thing it never gets below 40 degrees in Alaska

That picture proves nothing to me. I don't know that it's not super cold. Snow doesn't mean freezing. And I can't verify that's a 6.2
I know your just being a smart ass to my smart ass. And it's all good.
But I had my 6.2 and I did all the glow plugs, block heater, antifreeze pumps, and all that jazz. And that thing sucked to start. It was a prima donna. That was my experience with the 6.2. It was enough not to want to **** with them ever again.
Well and the lack of power. Didn't help either.

Wel I don’t have a picture of the thermometer that night , but that was New Year’s Eve run a few years ago and it was -20

That truck starts when 454’s are spinning rod bearings in the cold lol.

But seriously, up until about 2 weeks ago all of our daily drivers have been 6.2/6.5 equipped rigs since we moved to Alaska in 2007 .

I finally broke down and bought a little commuter car but the 6.5 is still the go to when the weather gets really bad .

It's all good Beags, my plan for my 6.2L vehicle is an eventual powerstroke swap just cuz I like them better. I do have a mechanical turbo'd 6.5L that needs a rebuild and could always make it's way into something.

I am all for a powerstoke swap or dmax swap.

Popped a leak in the rear brakes the other day when I drove this to work. The brake warning light even came on in the dash. Found the hard line to the right rear brake was the culprit. It lost almost all braking though so I was worried about the front brakes having issues also. I robbed a line off another axle I had laying around and installed it yesterday. The res for the rear brakes was empty and I tried to bleed a few different ways. Pretty sure the valve has moved over in the proportioning valve since the brake light is still on and I'm pretty sure the MC has took a shit since I have almost no front braking. Soaked all the lines with some PB blaster and I will get a new MC when I get to it and also gonna pull the proportioning valve off and get it back to allowing fluid to all brakes.
