The farm truck.

Checked it over tonight. Things it needs for sure:
Shocks
New mufflers and tailpipes.
Sway bar bushings front and rear.
Possibly brakes.
Oil change.
Bigger battery.
Starter.
Carpet.
Seat covers.
Clean up and paint.
Rewire and new lights for the bed.

It has all new hoses on the engine for heater and radiator and all vacuum hoses and switches look new. Everything is bone stock except the air pump is gone. The radiator is brand new. Front tires are near new and one rear tire is new. I think the rear end is a dana 80. Not sure why it has a single 20? gallon gas tank. If I keep it then it will eventually get a blazer or sub tank. Pretty sure this is a cab and chassis looking at the frame rails. 20170725_220726.jpg 20170725_221024.jpg 20170725_221151.jpg 20170725_221024.jpg 20170725_220837.jpg 20170725_220929.jpg 20170725_215614.jpg 20170725_221014.jpg 20170725_220837.jpg 20170725_223547.jpg

So couple questions...how do I properly adjust the mechanical clutch linkage? It works but doesn't grab til the pedal is almost all the way up and when I depress the pedal about halfway down something underneath on the linkage makes a pop noise, there is also no free play at the pedal. @bent72 .
This truck has the two headlight setup with turn signals in the bumper. Can i install a complete front clip for an '87 with the four headlight system including wiring?

The popping may be the pivot point under the dash

The throw adjustment is underneath, just have to play with it until your happy. Give me a bit and I'll have a few minutes to call

So I got my Blazer out of my working bay and this thing moved over to get to work on it. I put it up on stands and pulled the front wheels. Front end is tight. Most of it took grease. Maybe a few zerks will fix the rest. Brakes are pretty new. Pulled calipers and cleaned and lubed the slides. These are just like Ford ones with the one slide and spring that drive in the bottom of the caliper. Trans oil is new. Adjusted clutch linkage but didnt drive it yet. Rear end seems to have a ton of backlash when turning driveshaft. Need parts then I can do more. Anyone know if this is a cab and chassis off the vin? 20170726_225351.jpg 20170726_224954.jpg 20170726_225008.jpg

If it's a cab and chassis it should have a 14 bolt rear. If not it will have a Dana 70
