Now that ive got your attention :haha: I figured id start a build Ive had going for a few years. All stated as a "street/ trail" rig  that didnt last long.

I traded a 85 4 runner with a lot of issues for this 87 blazer, 350 Tbi, 1/2 ton axles, yada, yada, yada. Here she is in all her glory.

First thing I did was plan a trip and give myself a time line to get stuff done. First thing was some 38s, 3/4 tons, crossover, hydro assist, shackle flip, 64s.

At this point, I stripped the blazer completely down and ready it for scrap in hopes of putting the banana back together. That didnt happen. I ran out of money and really just did and still dont have a clear picture of what I want the banana to be. Its my retirement build :D

So at the begining of this year I decided to put the blazer back together and do it right this time. I was getting to complacent on what I could do without a cage IMO. I was like off camber, dropping of things and driving out of them when I could have easily endo'd and been seriously hurt without a cage.

First things first. I needed some better accomidations when camping. I have a bad back and sleeping on the ground plages me for about a week after.

I picked this up as you see it, platform and all for 250 bucks. 12 hour round trip drive. You can see the blazer still stripped in the back ground (rollaround 3/4 tons underneath)

Ive got some new/old parts I've acquired along the way

Picked up this doubler a few years back for 1300. 32 spline all the way through. tripple stick, ect.

1 hour round trip to get this :D

10574271_10152616736286323_4276053845466197974_n.jpg

I was going to use this for the banana but really need some type of reduction for the blazer at this point. Then the other day this fell in my lap

11709646_10153475465251323_7426648238682944006_n.jpg

Its a clocked flat 27 spline 203 into a 31 spline ford 205. You may ask yourself at this point, what would I do with that? Simple. The banana is going to get a super 60 or a 05 + super suty 60. What ever falls in my lap first when im ready. If you dont know much about the super duty axles and want to do a drivers drop with links, look into them.

I picked this doubler up for 500 bucks, yes thats right. 5 hour round trip commute.

Im basicaly going to use the range box off the new doubler and put it on my old one and put the old one on the new one. Banana runs a 32 spline 465 with a 208 adapter. The first doubler has a redilled face for a 208 adapter. The 27 spline unit will go in the blazer behind a TH350. I have no worries with a TH350 as long as its properly supported (only 4 bolt trans to t case adapter)

I also picked these up. I bought the wheels for 300 from a guy who met me at my house and picked the tires up for 700. I tire had to be valcunized which im picking up tomm. Round trip drive to get the tires, 12 hours one friday after work

I had a tire vulcanized. It worked for a while, but a year later (or more) it did rip back off.

Went to raunch last weekend, and as normal no pics but did get a vid. As normal vid doesn't show the angle of the hill but if you watch my hitch you can see how steep it was.

I have noticed that I will need a larger PS reservoir due to the fact that my SE ram was pushing fluid out the smaller reservoir all day. Should be an easy enough fix.
