Had some problems with my steering reservoir being to small. Basically my system was pushing out the fluid when the cylinder went in, and sucking it dry when the cylinder went out. So I've been working on this. Hold about a gallon and a half.

This is what I got. Its a steering reservoir off a blue bird bus, holds about 3 gallons.

Had 2 internal filters. I didn't really need them since I have a 2 qt filter in my system so they went to the wayside.

You can see here, there is a screen for the suction side of the tank. I welded a 1.25 (1.66 OD) pipe to it as a nipple.

After being cut down and re welded. Weld doesn't look straight as It was a cover weld after the first one that had been smoothed over. I checked the tank for leaks and found none.

I hate that I can't see your pictures at work.....

But it sounds like it's gonna work good. I like factory-type upgrades.

Here is what I did with the radiator hose, bought some AG sprayer no suction hose and a swivel water neck. I used a 1.25 to 1.5 silicone boot with a 1.5 OD slug on the inside. Added 2 hose clamps which I'm to excited about and I don't really know what king of tempature the AG hose is rated for but its worth a shot.

Those poor nuns....At least the boiling coolant should put the burning ones when that hose cuts loose.:D

Going to be interesting lol. Ive already decided to change out the hose clamps with the T bolt style clamps. That AG hose is thick and I feel fairly y confident that standard hose clamps aren't going to chinch it down to well. A few guys (timmay over at LII) are running the ag hose with good results.
