yep its a 302 ford. i know ford why. well it is for my moms 1973 mustang granda . full resto of the car. she got it for her retierment car project. she had one a long time ago , and now she has a nother one.

got the motor painted to day. lots of paint removal from the paint that the motor shop put on that didnt stick good . now it has 2 coats of 500' temp primer, and 3 coats of 500' temp ceramic paint. motor is 280 hp and 330 lb ft . has roller tip rockers and full reman. all of this is feed by edelbrock rpm pro-flow setup. 1000cfm 4 barrel air valve and 8 injectors.then i painted the valve covers also to match the engine.

when done i will post pics of the car. just wanted to show off my work a little bit. have a good day ck5ers.

ya i forgot to say moms old mustang was all stock with 302 and 2 barrel. i cant wait till its done and she hits the gas peedel and throws it sideways up the street. when she does this i will get pics also.

just a side question how much more hp and tourqe do you think i will get with the injection? the dyno specs where with a edelbrock 750 carb.

paint time 1-1.5 hours. but stipping time and prep was 4-5 hours over 2-3 nights. and lots of brake cleaner and 2 big spray cans of aircraft stripper and 5-6 little wire brushes. 30-45 min tape off time. could have been a lot worse except it was fresh reman motor.

we got the motor in the car and wheels and tires what do ya all think of it so?

wheels are magnum 500 ford style
tires are bfg radial t/a 235/60/15 frt
............bfg radial t/a 255/60/15 rear

Excellent attention to detail 'cept for one part. Y'all really need to do somethin about that engine compartment!!

Someday I'll be able to brag about the Corvair that's been patiently awaiting such attention in the garage.

Well yea!?!?!?! I figured that with such a pretty everything else you were prolly gonna get around to the engine bay before you forever and permanent put the engine in there.

Couldn't help but think of the Dukes of Hazzard episode though where this guy was real big on the "Nascar circuit" and they opened up the hood and there was this 5 some odd thousand dollar motor in a 500 dollar Camaro.

Was funny to me. So there.
