I'm using an NV4500, which is noticeably bulkier. I can carry a 465, but i had to drag the 4500 along a board to get it to the truck . I'm not sure how I would get it up high enough to get the jack under it. Adding the tcase sounds like an even heavier idea.
I do have a center rib, IIRC, but didn't you start with the tranny already in the truck?
Trans came out to do clutch, I removed the bell housing and reinstalled as a full unit, but i didnt know you were doing this with a 4500
I've hoisted off of joists before, but building a 7' spreader beam to fit through the cab would increase the headache significantly.
For this situation, I have ordered a cherry picker from hazard fraught tools. Should make life a bunch easier. All I gotta do is rig up a better plywood floor to keep the wheels out of the sand.
I think this solution will increase the safety level a bunch.
Yeah, I grafted a 465 bell housing onto a 4500. And then I dropped the truck onto the top of it.
Maybe this is a good time to install a sunroof???

He put that cradle in his trunk. That's a big cradle, but obviously it's a bigger trunk. He and I laughed about it for a bit. After we loaded it, we then discussed how many bodies would fit in it.

I knew he was hauling stuff (including an entire drumset, unless I have my trips mixed up), and I didn't know how much room he had, so I asked him (via phone call) if he had enough room for a car frame.
I could hear him glaring back at me as he dead panned "I have a Buick" in a humorously smug manner.
Turns out that small car frames fit inside big car trunks quite nicely.
He does love that cargo capacity. I had to strap it to my roof to get it the rest of the way home. My trunk is in a much smaller category.
Yep, drum set was in the rear seat. Trunk was wide open. The drum set it actually what sparked our 3 hour conversation.
