I dont know of anything specific your missing. Colbys truck was a 73 and this one is not so there are differences in frame rails and crossmembers. - solid point
Can you run with the stock 72 fuel tank that has no fuel return line? Do you need a new fuel filter sock inside the tank? - very good question, there is a return line on my rig, dunno if it has to go back to the tank, or for instance, if it could be "Tee'd" into the fuel filter at the front of the rig. definitely something to figure out.
How much of the wiring exists on the new one and how long will it take to figure out whats missing? - from what the guy's saying, all they did was pull the engine and trans, and everything else is still there. wont know for sure till i get a good look at it.
Are the axle gears setup ok to run with a diesel? - not a clue, good point though.
Those are just a few of the questions youll need to figure out within the next 30 days and I'm sure there will be lots more. It's just the nature of this stuff. -

well... here's hoping at least getting the griz stripped and shipped within that month will be acceptable
