The headache build..

You have redundant pressure sensors or do they connect to 3 separate locations on the other side of the firewall?

You going with a kickout pan or what are you changing? Kickout with windage tray should be sufficient, and I wouldn't think you would need to run an extra quart with that short distance or time. When in the run did it drop to 10 psi?

Pan vacuum, oil pressure, and transmission pressure. That is what the sensors are for. I may use the third sensor to monitor something else.
As for the oil pan, it did have a kick out and windage tray. However, it was designed for the 496 with a 4.25 stroke. The 604 has 4.5 stroke, so we took out the windage tray to clear the crank. It was just suppose to be temporary.

The Moroso 21049 is a proven pan for large BBCs. There one piece 93153 molded gasket works very well too and is a lot cheaper than the felpro version and its notched for up to 4.75" stroke. Those are both Mark IV parts...

We looked at a Moroso pan at the shop. We were worried about drive shaft clearance.

Going to put the Bigger Diggers on so I'm setting up another third member.
Here is a pattern.

That is with a .01 shim that spaces the pinion away. This is a Ford third member.

That is starting to look like the sample pattern that came with the ring gear.

One nice thing about having the patterns on the thread, I could see a pattern forming. I think I should put a little thicker shim in.
I save that for tomorrow.

Oh btw, I got the new oil pan on and oil accumulator and went Dumont. I didn't do as well as I liked, but I'm holding steady oil pressure.
My crew only took I-phone videos and pictures the wrong way (the phone straight up). It looks good on their phones but the quality goes to shit if transfer by text message.
plus they did the shots straight up. It is not like I bought a camcorder with us, so I could transfer hi quality videos shot wide screen to my laptop. Not hold the phone the wrong way "tall" screen.
Did I mention it is my pet peeve when people shoot cell phone videos with their phones straight up?
Anyway, there are some photos here.
