The Jimmy lost 300+ lbs today

Oh, well, that would make sense /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

[sorry, wasn't thinking there...]

I was thinking the same thing, wondering if the blazer panel would work. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Can-back (sp?) makes soft tops for trucks. Expensive, but they are about the best softop money can buy IMHO. We thought about getting one, but $1,200 can be put forth to more important thing on my Jimmy /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Whew, I thought you chopped it up and narrowed the front or something.... /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif

and a P/U tailgate today,

and the P/U tailgate was the easiest of swaps. We found a junkyard tailgate and all the hardware last weekend, and had it painted when we had to hood fixed after my close encounter with a turkey.

Could you do a write up saying what exactly was involved? I know you say easy, but what parts did you need to get, what modifications did you have to make, how air/water tight is the fit?

I've thought of this route when I go with a soft-top, but didn't know what I was getting into.

the mounting holes are already there, you just need the hinge setup, and tailgate. Pretty certain the standard latches work.

Wow, this is an old post.

Three of five window is just personal preference. With the five window I am sure you would have a little better visiability, we just happened to like the three window better. As far a black, white, crush, vinyl, send off for free samples of the fabric and that will help you make your decision.

As far as drilling, there are two holes on the bedrail to drill, about 6 small holes on the tailgate, 6-8 small holes on the back of the cab, and 2 1/2" holes on the back of the cab.

Security? Hard top soft top if they want in, they will get in. I have a Tuffy lockable console, detachable face stero, so I limit what is in sight.

i know about security in general but when u click the link it asks me if i want to proceed like someone will get my credit card

because you no longer have a solid top, or solid glass windows. any theif with a carpet knife can get in very easily.

he is reffering to the site intro, a popup come up, saying there is a security propblem, its not talking about the soft tops, its talking about a techinical security problem, i.e. the way your computer reads the page

Sorry, that pop up is there because I didn't renew my secure server as I want to move the store to CK5, it is safe to order, the secure thing means that the owner (me) has been checked out and my address is verified etc. so that I'm not someone out to steal your money etc..
