I was fixing a Mitsubishi eclipse and the trans was bad so a friend of mine built it and I put it in and it leaked.I changed the trans fluid / filter three times on my Mitsubishi within a couple of months...
- First time I didn't clean the pan surface well enough, so it leaked all over the garage.
- Second time went fine but a failed lock-up code was fired, and I read online (3si forums) that the transmission I had "really needed" OEM fluid.
- Took the above for truth and wanted to go for a "cheap fix" so drained and replaced with OEM fluid. Light came back on anyway and that's how it sits today.
My first engine rebuild I assembled the whole thing got it fired up, everything seemed fine ran for 10 minutes and then seized.I was fixing a Mitsubishi eclipse and the trans was bad so a friend of mine built it and I put it in and it leaked.
I pulled out and checked all the mating surfaces and found no leaks so I put it back and drove it around and still leaked so I pulled it out and opened it up.
We had to change the pump and I looked at it the fluid was coming from the pump.
I see a grove for an O ring but no O ring.
I asked my buddy why he didn't put one and his answer was: it didn't come with one.
I went got one and put it together and all was good. Never gave him work again

I think it's pretty funny, I could wine about more inportant stuff in life trust me but I'll leave it to a text message or call if it comes up.Every time this title comes up, I wonder why Justin beiber needs a support group.
If you are closer does that mean grumpier too?I will say I'm alot closer to @ktmoutfront now adays. If I think something might be wrong I check it. Even if it involves and extra day or two.
If it feels wrong it probably is, if its not fitting and it did before something is wrong. If there is any doubt, check it out
Yes. Get off my lawnIf you are closer does that mean grumpier too?
