Sorry for the lack of updates guys, I'm about to go drive this truck home, either i'll make it home, the truck will break down, or i'll get arrested. so if you guys don't hear from me for awhile it will prob be the last one. hah

This is the astro thats getting the 350, and no it won't have those rims on it. hah. I think i'm gonna jack the ass end up a little bit and throw some slicks under it hah..You can also see my blazer in the backround, that was at my old house. blazer was lookin rough hah..

Hey guys,

Just came up with a few things I think i'll be doing with my truck, i'm gonna be doing the 98 style dash and door panels in the 88 cab, I think i'll also be swapping the front clip to a new style depending on what i find. What do you guys think?

sounds cool...definitely not something you see everyday. being original is always a good thing. get to see some pics for sure.

Hey guys,

Does anyone happen to know the name or part number of the seal on the 700r4 where the shift linkage bolts too? mines been leaking from there, and since the body is off and everythings getting redone, i might as well fix it hah, also my transfercase is leaking tranny fluid? has me stumped. if only I had the money for twin stick hah..Also, would now be a good time to put a shift kit, or corvette servo in? not sure if it would benifit my truck any? the tranny was rebuilt before it sat, so would it be worth the effort? Anyone know where to get rolls of gas line for cheap? have to redo all of mine, and i'd much rather make my own hah. Thanks for all the help!

Jack

Update July 19th

Tore into my dana 44 today..I didn't have the socket for inside the hubs, but I managed..Stopped at the balljoints today, Anyone know of a easy way to get them out? Axles sure are a pain in the ass, i'm def not looking forward to rebuilding the 14bff. So the question is, should I use 5.13's? I plan on running 38's - 40s at the most. I'm going to take it down to bare housing, this is gonna be fun hah... Any imput would be great...thanks!

Pics..

When I started..

Axle was a pain working on so low to the ground, So it went onto the always handy wooden stands...Not too heavy, moving it by myself wasn't too hard..:doah:

One side down, the second one is always easier..So I was reading up on crossover, and I was reading about using a stock tierod and cutting it down, so I believe I might go that route since I have two.

Hopefully someone can tell me an easy way to get these balljoints out! hah Thats all for now.:haha:

Will I need a different carrier for the axle? or will the 5.13's work fine? Can anyone else answer any of my questions?
For the 14bff they make gears to work for the 4.10 and down carriers (thick gears) and they make gears for the 4.56 and up gears. As for the dana 44, I don't know if you will need another carrier :(
