The Making of an Axe

I like when I'm able to go an extra step when I'm building a cabinet or something at work. It makes me happy, if I'm not happy about my work, I hate work. If I'm rushed and have to "short" somethings, ugg I hate that even more.

Thanks for sharing the video. I love stuff like this. However, I personally would never buy a wooden handle tool.

EDIT: I'm stuck watching a bunch of videos now:doah:

Very nice. Did you see him forge weld a higher carbon insert into the edge? That was Borax he poured on it to act as a flux.
 
That is very interesting. I'd love to learn to do blacksmithing, but just don't have the spare time to put into it right now nor the real need to do so. It's always interesting watching a true craftsman at work.

I'm curious why the blacksmith wasn't wearing safety glasses though. With that quality of work and amazing products, I'm surprised he would risk losing an eye over a $5-20 piece of safety gear.
