The Mistress 1982 K10 (Rockwell Mud Slut)

Yeah that sounds simple enough! I came up with a few ideas just finding the time to do it! Once that is done though then its off to the trails to see what will break now. Haha!

Lol nice! Bought a divorced 205 to make a drop box and a set of 52" 6" lift springs for the front of the black truck.

Sa-weet! you still going the Rockwell route? Or keeping the tons for now? I like your wife's truck build too, I wish my woman wanted her own truck but she would rather ride along.

Hopefully will be. That's what the 205 drop box is for. Haha thanks, it gets more attention than any of my trucks

Its a rowdy motor, my 2500 is too tight. Ever tried to drive a truck with a big bump stick and a tight converter?

I understand what you mean about to tight of a Converter for a powerful motor. I had a BBC 454 in my Blazer with a 1800 Converter that worked great for the rocks then I installed a BBC 555 and the brakes would not hold with all the power. I have T400, 5.38 gears Lowmax 3to1 205 transfercase & ORD's 203/205 doubler. I put in a 2700 Converter with Vanco Hydroboost brake stystem and have zero problems now. The bigger Converter solved my problems!

Looooong time since I dinked around on here. Been really busy. Bought a house with a shop and been working on projects ever since. Focused on my Cummins for a long while, broke the input shaft in the trans, so I spent waaaaayy too much to fix that, then I p-pumped it and I'm now in the process of twin turboing it. Haha. The black truck got its rockwells and is on the back burner until I get the cummins finished. Here's some pics

It kinda fell in my lap. 10 miles further out than my parents. Down on the river. 2.5 acres. 1900 sqft manufactured home. It suits us. The shop is my domain, 40x40 with 12' tall doors and a lift in the floor. It's like a second home haha

Im jealous of the shop, I keep kicking myself wishing I would have gone bigger. Cement is freaking expensive

Just a suggestion, but put an extra space between your pictures. Makes them a lot easier to look at. Nice shop.

Yah I've been waiting for something to fall into my lap :haha: been looking at houses for about 7 months just haven't found the one yet... Or I should say haven't found the one with the shop I like yet.

It's been super nice to have my projects consume space and not have someone else dictate when I can use floor space. Even at 40x40 it's a little cramped with 3 trucks, a car and a dirt scooter. Haha

As far as the picture spacing goes, blame tapatalk, it puts them where it wants. I've got no control over that, unless you'd like 10 separate picture posts next time.

this has been the latest project, 1967 IH travelall. Had the rockwells under it when I got it. I tore them out and put them under mistress

Now I'm taking the GM 2.5 tons out from under this and putting them under the Travelall so I can sell it again.

I had seen this place for sale an I saw the list price, I think that's what scared most people off. It had been for sale for 9 months. They wanted $215,000, I offered $170,000 they countered at $180,000 we settled at $178,500. I've put a few thousand in it with new carpet and paint throughout. It's got some issues still but it's leak free and big enough for all my trinkets

Hahaha not pathetic at all. Some days I wish I had stuck with 1 tons. Rockwells are retardedly heavy and awkward. I used to manage all my axle swaps, spring swaps ect by my self, now I HAVE to have someone help just to keep the axle from flopping and rotating. I couldn't even push the steer axle into the shop alone, its 700# mass about mowed me over.

I bet! Man I remember I could pick up my 1/2 ton axles completely off the stands like it was nothing and move them around, then got the D60 and 14FF it said, umm no... Hahaha!
