I'm tired of working in my tiny 2 car garage so I'm finally building a big (30'x60') shop to work in.
Which corner is that going to occupy?
It goes in the front corner next to the house.

Yes, it will only be 3'x4' inside dimensions. The sink will be in the other side of the front garage door.
We made some serious progress on the throne room today. We framed it with 2x6s and made it extra sturdy since I'm sure we'll be putting stuff on top of it.
We got it all framed up, installed a vent fan/light assembly, wired everything up and sheeted the inside with drywall.
We also did some mudding and taping over by where the sink will be. I want to get the sink and bathroom done first because it will make it easier to work in there, especially cleanup for mudding/taping and painting.

Is the sink going to be a big deep sink? We have an old bathtub in the shop and it's nice having a big sink.
Yes, it's a laundry tub. I'm sure it ended up in one of the pictures, but it's a deep tub.
We got a bunch more done yesterday, but we were too busy to post pictures last night. I'll get them posted tonight.

I am going to put a 3 bay stainless sink in my new shop. One with de-greaser, one with soapy water and then a rinse bay.
I'm probably going to upgrade the sink at a later date with a nice industrial kitchen stainless one like you're talking about, but for now I just got a cheap laundry tub to see how it works out.
I never got a chance to post the pictures from Sunday, so here's what we got done then. All of the drywall for the bathroom was finished up, as well as patching up all the holes we cut for running wiring. We also started with some mudding and taping in the bathroom and around where the sink will be and installed and painted the exterior vent for the bathroom fan.
Last night we finished up mudding and painting around the sink and got the sink and water heater installed. The sink is too deep for where they installed the drain so I have it sitting on some 2x6 scrap until I figure out how to make it taller or get a different sink (it's a cheap piece of crap). But this will work fine for now. I traded a friend Amber's old Maxima for some tape/mud work and he spent a few hours working in the bathroom the last couple nights. Hopefully we can get that room painted in the next day or two.

My new evap cooler finally showed up! It's awesome!
Keep thinking about getting something like that for our shop.
Lowe's had a good deal on it over Memorial day (special order). It's normally $2K but it was on sale for $1400 - 10% veterans discount = $1260. We used it yesterday and it cools down the whole shop nicely and it's fairly quiet (about as quiet as the small one on low).
People back East are wondering what the heck is that huh you add water to the air and it makes it cooler I'm really confused
Evaporative cooling people. Look it up. Only effective in dry climates. So you guys living with high humidity to start with would never see one of these things.
Blow air over a wet media and the air comes out cooler on the other side. Pretty simple stuff.

I had to walk our house buyers through the unit on the house. They are from Illinois. But she is complaining about her dry skin. I told her this will help.
It's magical!
And way cheaper than central air!
