I bet the problem is your transmission crossmember is too heavy.
So is it the advance that's ground in I mentioned before? That happens sometimes, you just move it with the timing set.
I don't know what cam you bought, if it was that comp one we couldn't find back then, you know I did find you a cam that was ~1 degree different and you didn't want it....had to be that exact model....

(I'm picky just like that).
But the comp one in the catalog is 230/236 110, not 231/236 111, so I don't know what exact cam you have?
Based on the numbers you mentioned above the LSA is what you said it should be, so it appears the whole cam is shifted more advanced is all, including both the ICL and ECL, are you holding out on info? Yeah there are a few intake stuff that is off a couple degrees, I just attributed that to measurement error since I don't know what you were measuring, the lobe, the rocker, valve, etc.
I can call my guy at comp but I don't feel the need to do that, especially since I don't know if its a comp cam. I have been buying mostly Howards lately but there are applications I like the comp cams better.
