The Purple Camaro

Stalls at 2200

Issue is that the governor shifts it at 3800, so I need to see if I can lock it in low and force it to stay locked up

700 's will lock in low when manually shifted. Nice thing is that if it wants to shift at 3800, then it will be ready to shift when you manually bump it to second. The upshift should happen quickly after the shifter is moved. 2-3 shift should be the same. My 700 with basic upgrades, and a transgo shift kit, survived over 500 passes, and 70,000 miles on the street. Over 100 of those passes were in the 12's.

I need to get under it. Spent 3 hours getting the wheels to clear the brakes. Having fun

So. Not sure who worked on this while I wasn’t around the old man. The shifter is for a th350 and was missing some parts. It’s also missing a 4th gear gate, and looks like it’s also adjusted wrong. Sigh…

It now has 4 gates

So after an hour or so with the dremel, my th350 shift now identifies as a 700r4 shifter....
What if it was a shifter for a C6 before?
Cuz we know that a TH400 wouldn't have given up it's shifter...
:haha:

Ya ya ya..
But you like to fight with Ferd parts occasionally, so it could have been used on a C6. No?

Now that the shifter is fixed, are you for sure going tonight? We need posted slip pics. :waytogo:

One of y’all needs to come shoot video then
