Going to get my new interior this Sunday!!! Found an 87 blazer that had been hit and the kid'll give me (all grey-) kick panels,dash,all seats,carpet and console all for .......(drumroll!).....$100 Oh yea!

All parts are good..dash has a few cracks and ones seat is messed up from wreck!

I'm going to buy a d60 and 14b matching set 3.73 from his dad for 225 a peice in two weeks! d60 has been rebuilt like 2 years ago!

Not tryin to rub anything in.. just happy<img src="http://coloradok5.com/forums/images/icons/smile.gif">!!!

I've got to start gettin ready for next year ya know!

I was driving down the road the other day and I came across a 76 blazer that ran real good didn't look bad had a little rust and a few little dents for $500.
I went home and told my wife I was thinking about getting it. But she gave me one of Those Looks(you married guy know what that means) And said, "Buy it! Just sell your boat first". Then she went on a rant about all the junk(my treasure) pileing up in the yard. So I had to pass on that one.

i picked up a 3/4 8 lug 10 bolt, complete hydro boost system{master cylinder, booster, pump, and all the lines} and a dual battery system all out of a diesel pickup for a bank breaking total of 25 buckes. really would of liked a 60 but for 25 bucks i cant really complain

I have been on a real roll lately. I got another '85 K5 a few weeks back that is completely rust free and only has a couple of dings for the whopping sum of $800. The 700r is toast and the interior is a little rough, but the truck only has 117k miles.
Yesterday I talked to a guy about buying his '83 K30 with a rebuilt 454/T400/205/d60/ff14, the only negative is the body is rusted beyond repair(fertilizer). We came to an agreed sale price of $1100.
I bought a '78 3/4 ton 4x4 complete a while back for $350.

Now that I have bragged about my luck, I'm sure it will change for the worse.

'85 K5 : Run it til it breaks, then fix it and go again!

Baught a '87 k-5 Silverado complete Front clip and Body for $700.00 witch I needed due to the myine had been on it's side more than once.....

Just got a set of tires (33x12,5x15 Big O Big Foot, 4 @ 95% &amp; 1 @ 25%) for a friend $100.with a full Big O warrenty.

Think again! It will not fit the 77 frame BECAUSE of the rear footwells. Sorry. Frame is different. If you got the frame then swap the running gear in it.

I got a hood, grill and 4 front fenders for the Willy's for $45

. So I have a full front clip to sell after I get it going.
My parts Blazer cost me $1100. Which was a running driving 1977 with a 350/350/203 and 44/12 bolt. After parting it all out I have $240 into it which has left me with a frame(with springs), topper, tailgate, column, console, wiring harness, front and rear axels, tranny and case and 8 rims. Oh yeah and the floor for the Willy's

I am trading my 14bff and d44 and $100 for another 14bolt and d60. The new 14bolt and d60 both have detroits and 4.11, which is much better than my open diffs and 3.73's.

And there is a 76 K5 in a feild that I can get for $300.
All there except for a radiator and starter.
I just may get that one to fix up for a pretty rig and then I will have the 78 to have fun in with without worrying about denting the rust.

I bought a D60 and 14FF and had to pull them out of the truck for $250.

I got a 4" lift kit for free. Had to pull it out of the truck though.

There was a kid who ran an 8" Skyjacker lift (Blzr4x4ngkid has it now) and he wanted to lower his truck back down. So I traded him stock springs and shocks and helped him take everything off and install the stock springs. He gave me the 8" front and rear springs and shocks in exchange for the stock springs and for helping him install them.

I had a 454 that was knocking and pulled it out of the truck. Sat it on the floor and about a year later, traded it to another guy for a set of 12 x 16.5 Weld Racing wheels.

I buy (and still do) the local farm trucks whenever they break down. Prices have never been over $500 for a complete truck. I don't buy the flat beds though. I have the farmers take those off and then I haul the rest away.

And yes, these trucks are 1/2, 3/4 and 1 tons.

Im about to get 4 brand new 38X12.50 Super Swamper TSL's mounted on chrome rockcrawlers for 700 bux, and i bought my some wat used D60/14FF(35k miles) with 456 gears and detroits for 1600 which i find was a good deal.

Well I got 2 14bolt ff a 4.11 and a 3.73 a four core radiator a th350 and a np203, edilbrock intake headers holly chrome valve covers crome oilpan anothe good 350 4 bolt a manual tranny (well actually I got the entire suburban a 78) holly double pumper carb and alot of other little goodies for a total of 91 doollars and alot of trading of stuff i got for free

My 73 k20 was free - of course, it had an engine with one head missing, no tcase/tranny, no axles and no bed. But it was exactly what I needed since my 76 k10 with k20 axles had serious rust, door wouldn't stay shut, and the frame was bent and cracked.
All I had to do was drive to Dallas (3 1/2 hours) with a flatbed.
