The RedBurb

Every Part Is Replaceable
Always be willing to help those in need.

My wife and I were on the tail end of a day date heading to a local seafood market and we passed by a guy that was axles-deep in beach mud.

By the time we left the market and passed back by, a JK had already made a failed attempt to pull him out.

I pulled up, hopped out and said, “I’ve only got about 15 minutes but perhaps that’s all we need!”

With the Yukon hubs locked, Detroit locked, Ox locked, 205 front and rear outputs and Magnum all in low, and the 700r4 tranny in 1st gear, all working together in unison with the 6.5 Detroit diesel, there’s only one outcome - forward. Turns out, 2 minutes is all we needed.

I’m not sure how much torque ends up on the ground with everything in gear, but I know the number is big. I’ll do the math sometime.

This was Rusty’s first rescue, and I’m glad my wife caught it on camera. It’s a proud moment.

As my wife said, “What Toyota got stuck, and Jeep couldn’t pull, an OffRoad Design built Chevy rescued!”

I was going to pull him further up, but he was fine where we landed.

It’s a good day.

First Rescue

Would anyone happen to have a guess as to what color blue this is? I’m trying to match it but not having luck. Kind of seems to change when in and out of sunlight.

If nothing else, it should keep the sbow off of your windshield.

Looks good. Welding them in?

I really wish I could, but my time is very limited these days, so I have to pick and choose which projects I spend a lot of time on. Taking a different approach on these.

Job 1/2 done. The ridicule will be relentless.

Cary on.

:haha::haha::haha::haha:

Well, I had legitimate reasons.

It rains a lot here in Florida, and I’d prefer to keep rain water away from my intake as much as possible.

Some of that will involve enclosing the intake from the rest of the engine bay, but for right now that also includes not cutting out the front half of the hood.

With the panels being removable, I’m able to reserve my right to change my mind down the road.

:saweet:
