Also look at the ends of the leaves and you can usually see a difference in how they are cut or tapered compared to the rest of the leaves in the pack, that is unless they just bastardized some more chevy leaves in there and not actual add-a-leaves.
I’ll try and remember to snap a pic of the spring packs I have that came out of a burb. Looks like a couple add a leafs for sure. Here are my rear spring packs. Look pretty funky to me.

That's a lot of red rust on the springs. I might be splitting hairs, but the extra friction makes it harder for the leaves to slide past each other. Making the packs act stiffer than they would with proper lubrication.
It's not the primary problem, but something worth fixing if you pull the packs apart.
You’re probably right. Seems like it’s also missing clamps. Honestly, it might be worth tossing the packs all together, perhaps with a set matching the front so the spring rates are the same. But will see.
Depending on what you do you probably want stiffer springs in the back. Maybe not as stiff as what you have now, but think about the cargo loads you want to haul and buy appropriately.
General Spring in Kansas City makes excellent stock replacement springs in several different load ranges. I think mine ran $105 each. Or you can clean up what you have and put some new Teflon pads on there. After you sort out the spring rate.
I know this is old news, but I never did get a pic of my spring packs. It does look like maybe the PO replaced two of the leafs with AAL’s? Idk... just throwing that out for no reason. Haha
Hate to say it but you might be time ahead if you just remove the pump. It’ll keep you from adding words to the dictionary too. LolVery possible! Good eye. Hopefully there’s enough access to it.

Awesome but that’s kind of a bummer at the same time. I always hope for simple fixes.Actually I was able to get a wrench on it and give it a little snugging, although didn’t really seem that loose. Not sure if there is some other issue.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
