More detail work today. I just made the drivers front corner a lot more crowded. First I made a windshield washer reservoir.

Then I decided that this would be a nice place to hide the nitrous solenoids.

We were able to measure for hoses today, so that will get hooked up when those get here next week. When I put the coolant overflow back in, the corner looks nice and clean again.

While I was working on some of that, Amber finished up the cup holder install.

It's just over a week before we leave.

Sunday we did the majority of the install for my dash cam setup. It's the same one I run in my driver, 4K front camera and pretty good quality. I figure there will be something that happens on this trip that I'll want to see again. All the wires are run through the headliner, which was a pain, but very clean looking.

I cut a circle of the awful tint off so the camera had a clear view.

I finished up the wiring today, then I made some quick side panels for the center console, it makes the interior look much nicer. Eventually I'll either cover these with upholstery, or get some clean aluminum and bead roll it, or have it bead rolled.

The passenger side covers the electrical panel. It's not a big deal to pull the 3 screws out, but I think eventually I'll make an easily removable panel on this side.

The last thing I did today was to pull the fire extinguisher I had stuffed behind my seat out and mount it in the bed.

We leave in 8 days!

I know the paint on the shop truck is far from nice, but 4000 miles of towing behind a motorhome would likely do some damage. Todays project was a rock guard.

All of my nitrous lines showed up today, so tomorrow is 1 last oil change, higher temp thermostat for the oil cooler, hook up and test the nitrous lines.
We leave in 5 days (maybe 6).

This is the first oil change where the filter looked brand new inside. The oil still looked brand new as well.
I got the 212° thermostat installed for the oil cooler. Even when it was 110° out it took forever for the oil to get warm enough to boil out the water.

I finished up the nitrous install today while Amber prepped and painted the frame for the rock guard.
I think the install is fairly stealthy. It's hard to see anything from the front.

But around back you can see what we did.

We've officially started packing. We need to be in Michigan by Friday afternoon for the Michigan 100 put on by Cleetus McFarland. We've booked both days, testing starts Monday for Michigan Miles so we're hoping to do some kayaking and sight seeing on Sunday. We have 3 nights booked at an RV park, then we'll move to Mid Michigan Motorplex Monday morning.

Today we tested packing the truck for traveling between tracks. The only thing not loaded is a cooler and our cloths bags.

We're thinking about leaving early morning Tuesday so we have an extra travel day if necessary, but we can't find anywhere cool to stay in Michigan. The place we have booked for Friday-Monday isn't available for Thursday night.
