the tig welder story .

Sorry, nothing to say about the tig you linked but have you considered non name brand? I have an AHP AlphaTig 200X and its flipping awesome. Granted I'm no professional welder, I've been teaching myself tig for about 3 years. I've had it for about 2 years now. I used it at least every weekend with zero issues, it has been my only welder until a few months ago when I picked up a Miller 211. A few of my friends have gone out and bought some after using mine. The only thing I can say isn't top notch about it is the pedal. It uses standard connectors and a 17 series torch so replacement parts are everywhere, comes with leads to do stick, and is multi voltage. I did switch over to a stubby gas lens.

This is two pieces of 3/8" I stuck together the other day.

That Lincoln looks to be a nice little machine. Biggest thing I would add is water cooled torch setup vs the air cooled. If you're going to be doing stuff at the high amp range the torch not burning your hand if nice.

The Lincoln's are good units. I had a 300 for damn near 25 years and I bought it used. It still runs smooth as butter.

I've used that machine, it works awesome. Be sure to read up on all the features it has as it can do some crazy shit. Worse thing about it is its physical size and it needs a massive breaker to feed it.

so I have played with this a few times and its FUN ! :weld:

now I have to build a good fab/welding bench table .

Welder porn dude!!So bad ass. I love the precision tigs. I too have a tig300 thats still running strong from 1991. Cool post man.
