The "under destruction builds" supersize75k5 's driveway of despair and repair

this thing has changed a lot since last time I was on this thread months ago...coilover set up looks good. the brand new kings and fabbed diff covers are sexy.

can't wait to see it with a bumper, winch or no winch?

its a big heavy medium duty truck engine , very reliable

its comparable in power, weight , and size to the C-7 caterpillar and the 8.3 Cummins "C" engines not exactly pickup truck stuff

i wouldnt call that thing very reliable cause at work ones had the injection pump replaced twice in the past year

Been driving it the last 3 days,

tonight I went ahead and got the panhard mount and coil over mount on the passengers side cut off and made a new mount out of plate that incorporates them both, way more surface area for the weld too and it looks better to boot.

couple of possible directions,

1, found a set of fenders, grill, and doors for a nice price and they are off a 06 and already white in perfect shape, I know of a few perfect beds. So about a 1000.00 gets her looking perfect.

option 2 is doing fiberglass prerunner front fenders with a 4-6 inch bulge and putting on a white 06 dually bed i found and swapping to a 20 inch steel wheel and 46 inch xmls. To do this the truck goes up about 4 inches and i loose my damned square swampers that have me pissed. Bummer is the added hight and weight.

option 3 is continue wheeling till it falls apart or gets on its side and the cab is trashed..if this happens i would like to get a 2008 cab and do removable fiberglass front and rear..

option 4, is prerunner front fenders, a flat bed in the rear and rear removable fiberglass fender that mounted in custom stake pockets so its easy to remove and still have a tuff sturdy bed.

next is the t-case rebuilt, go through the drivelines and retube the dented ones, truss the rear axle, new rear shocks, bump stops, rock sliders, cage of some sort, and one day build a nice front winch bumper.

always something.
