The "under destruction builds" supersize75k5 's driveway of despair and repair

If your gonna build this sucker up Shawn I think you should go hog wild with power and make an insane fast towrig that you can take to the dragstrip too. Haha, youve already murdered enough trucks wheeling. I wanna see one going down a 1/4 mile and throwing a driveshave out from underneath looking like a pretzel!

You should lift it high, but try another suspension design. This one looks well engineered..... It even has a ladder....

That thing is still IFS. That's what you should do Shawn...copy this. It's got to last a long time with that complete subframe up front so as not to wear out parts on the original. Plus, it will still ride like factory.

I didn't realise last tiem this got posted that they just cut off the front frame section of another IFS truck and mounted it down lower.

Finally snapped some.

I have yet to mess with the front, unsure if the torsion bars have been cranked or not by the previous owner/drivers.

In the rear, it was lower than the front so a 1.5 inch block was added along with factory chevy u-bolts from a silverado with a d-max "they have thicker spring packs"

The tires are 315/70/17 on 17x8ish wheels.

Has airbags to keep it level now.

Front bumper I removed the lower plastic valance and trimmed the left over 3 fang on the side and removed the bumper supports. Later I wil add a nice skid to the middle, support tubes and a nice simple prerunner style bumper the follows the factory bumper line where i cut it. I also have torsion keys I need to still put in and get in aligned being the front is about 1/2 inch too low when the truck is not hooked up to anything. It slightly rubs the inside of the fender behind the back of the front tire but ive only noticed it a few times. That may go away with leveling the truck but no biggie if it does it.

very nice! i like the look alot better with the trimming you've done to the front bumper.

bets on when it gets its 1st dents?? lol nice truck

Just don't look at the trans crossmember or the front factory plastic skid...:doah:

Plan at some point is a solid axle and this one will most likely be on leafs. And if I think is reasonable a cummins swap and a 4 link rear and air bags..and a larger fuel tank.. 26 gallons brings the suck.
