The "under destruction builds" supersize75k5 's driveway of despair and repair

Depending on how I drive I get from 15.3 to almost 17 and thats stop and go. But I also have displacement on demand with a 6 speed and 3.42 gears.

Ah DOD and a six speed that makes a big difference.
my dmax not towing gets between 15 and 20
towing i have seen as low as 9 but that was 8k+ at 75-80 mph

Dang, my 'Burb (TBI 350) got 10+ from Charleston S.C. to Alliance Oh. up I-77 towing about 8K.

Really? I call bs. Is your speedo correct?

I get about 14-15 not towing with a 350 and over drive, and around 8 towing 3500 lbs. GPS verified.

Yep. GPS verified. The 265 tire is really close to the stock height. LR E tires @ 80 and synthetic in everything but the trans, it takes a LOT of fluid. 11 qts for a filter change, I have a 2+ TCI cast aluminum pan.

LR E at 80psi? Geez. Guess you pay the price in the ride department.

i'm not sure it would really be that bad since there's the IFS up front. might feel a bit like driving a solid axle truck w/ regular tires though. :dunno:

Not really. The ATZ runs really well compaired to the stockers that were on it. If I wanted it to ride like a Caddy I'd buy one.

'91 is solid.:doah:

oops. thought we were talking about a modern truck with a 6.0

Bwahahaha

New trans is in..

Tonight decided to head on over and get my Torque converter made, local place called road runner did it. But the best part was getting to hang out and find out how they are made and get mine done the way I wanted.

I have plenty of pics to post. Very informative and fun trip.

The poor truck looked about dead when i drug it out again. Flat tires, front axle is in pieces, no brakes, no steering and bad pump, parts all over and missing and a bed sky high with trash from other projects:doah:

Few things im working on.

-removing the stock clutch fan and adding dual electric fans.
- moving the trans cooler to the rear of bed with a fan, maybe larger lines
-new power steering pump, maybe an upgrade
-new head light support panels and lights/parts
-rear drive line upgraded to 250 wall DOM
-new front brake lines and hardware
-remove the 1 inch spacers on the kings I added
-change the lower spring to a 400 rather than the 500 it is
-upgrade the busted 1/4" coil over shock tabs to 3/8" from ruffstuff
-new oil pan to replace the cracked one
-new rear shocks, invert them while im at it
-put the coil packs, wires and starter back "stole it for the buggy"
-add some time of water tank with a pump for mud on the glass after a run

and lastly new tires, but this may wait till I do an axle upgrade.

Just a few things:doah: Poor truck was beat hard and put away wet
