I was offering to help Shawn install one in his truck to cure his woes, and it would make a good test mule since Shawn abuses $h!t (he also doesn't realize it, but it wouldn't cost any more than a built 400 with billet parts, and he wouldn't break Allison hard parts - even DMax guys making 1200lb-ft and sled pulling don't break allison planetaries). I will gladly help anyone install one, but not for free. It
can't be for free, because it requires a recal of the Allison controller, which costs money for a license credit to begin with. For a stock 6.0 truck that is drive by wire, you can redo your stock harness for the Allison, and a PCM reflash is required. For a non-drive by wire 6.0, you can either convert it to DBW (which also requires a reflash of the PCM) or run a stand alone setup. All other apps are stand alone, which requires a module to accept TPS inputs and feed to the Allison TCM.... which costs money. So, even if I told you how to do it, you still couldn't unless you have the capability to reflash GM PCM's and Allison TCMs for a 6.0 app, or reflash Allison TCM's and build a microcontroller-based throttle interface module.
Right now, NOBODY can make a 6 speed Allison work stand alone, and as far as I know, NOBODY can put one behind a 6.0 and interface it to the stock PCM, except GM (but never in a production truck). Fleece has been promising a stand alone 6 speed solution for several years now, and now claims they will have one in a few weeks (after I mentioned I know how to do it)

. Everyone else has given up and does only 5 speeds, and charges up to $1600 for their controller. So, what it boils down to is that the knowledge I have gained is pretty unique and valuable, and I see no reason to simply give it away, especially when other companies would end up profiting from it
