still have to add the bump stops, some gussets to the panhard set up, rebuild the t-case, install twin stick shifters set up, new t-case mount, weld on the tabs for the hydro assist compression clamp on the tierod.

getting there!

front end it a but taller than what i want as well right now

How hot did you preheat the axle? Just the housing or the tubes too? I'm debating the classic tube/housing question: to weld or not to weld. :D .... but I want to make sure the welds are good and strong and the axle doesn't warp etc...

we just used a rose bud tip and had the oil drained and the cover on. Heated it up I guessing to just over a couple hundred degrees, welded up really nice and I spread out my welding from one area to the next to keep from concentrating too much in one spot. I also was able to fully weld to my radius arm mounts first though and tack to the tubes so I had a little bit of a fail safe before I made heavy passes on the housing. I have welded a 14 bolt tubes up before and the difference between a preheated job and non preheated job is pretty big and its much easier..

looks good shaun, maybe I should fly you up here to help me build my rear 4-link
but you'll have to leave before the testing phase .........your to hard on **** LOL

Lets put the t case in it before we worry about a bumper. You can't run into anything if you are stuck on the trailer!

aaron! now a member too...dang:waytogo:

yes, t-case first, people aaron is the one actually motivating me to work on this thing..I have a feeling his intention is for entertainment when I drive it though:doah:

I need to hurry and get this thing going soon, tonight I got the colorado in the air a good couple feet.. and started taking it up widow maker hill

I've been a member for a long time, just not much of a poster. Be nice to the lil colorado for awhile. At least til the white truck is done. Then maybe we can put full widths under it!
