The "under destruction builds" supersize75k5 's driveway of despair and repair

Circle track racing may be cheaper at this point.

We should start a pool to bet on what the next weak link in your truck will be. :D

Hmm, well I actually have an idea.. my radiator is smiling from all the jumping. That thing is half plastic though so in my book that is acceptable, the core support is also not happy and really starting to deform. So that will have to go on the list, I was really against fiberglass fenders but at this point I am starting to consider a 1 piece front end and just tubing the front out and getting it over with:confused:

That or I can just keep throwing parts at it, we shall see. Bummer is all the 1 piece fronts are for the 03 to 05 grill and hood style and I hate the way they look.

Also renamed this build in my sig..

Well, it's definitely scary suspension, but at least they linked it, so not all the load is on those stilts and crooked grade 5 bolts :eek1:

but what you can't see is that the links are hard-mounted to the frame and axle, relying on the flex of the pipe to allow for suspension travel. :D

WHOOOOOOOO hoooo

I was in a bind and my drive shaft guys came through.. we decided to upgrade while we were at it:thumb::thumb:

Now its a 250 wall, crazy thick 10 spline long slip heavy mo-fo!

right on bro. thanks for clearing that up for me! my brother in law has a 2500hd single cab 2wd... all I think about when I see his truck is "POTENTIAL" meaning what your truck has transformed to!

Your truck is amazing!

Made it out tonight to the mtv filming of a show. Had a ruff afternoon getting the truck ready, finish the plate work, new brake pads, work on the trailer converting it to 8 lug, new hub, and decided to mount up my ORI struts rather than the sway a ways. The sway a ways would have required me moving the bumpstops or I would have had big issues.

Well things were great...until I went to charge the ORI's with nitrogen.. my tank was almost out:doah: Ended up saying screw it and took the truck out there anyways and prayed the bumpstops would save my wallet from agony.

Damned good time.

They were filming for a cowboy guy who is with a girl and the show is called something like "i cant believe she is with him" or something like that. Mud absolutely sucked compared to saturday night, they added a bunch or dirt.

Had to make some wide turns as the truck was very low, ended up getting way to much of a head start and hit the wall hard:doah: Broke the steering box... then put the truck back in 4x4 and proceeded to screw off till both the front shafts and hubs took a early retirement by trying to ram the truck up the wall... no idea if the new 44's had anything to do with that..

Ill try to see if anyone got pics, truck still made it through a few more passes with no front wheels spinning and manual steering:thumb: Drove its hunk of metal back on the trailer so Im happy:bow: Tomorrow I will get a new filled tank and decide if I want to upgrade to 35 spline or stay with cheap stockers.. What sucks is everytime I am breaking a shaft it is taking out a hub too. Not sure what I want to do yet.

Oh.. and the ori's rock, I only got the truck half ass set up with them but for the few feet the truck came off the ground they felt so soft I was unaware I was leaving the ground till people told me:woot:

I'm sure you realize that I will expect more information and photos of the ORIs...

the grill and hood, the 05.5-07 classic hood has a cowl to it and the grill is split down the middle. Looks much much better in my opinion.

Really cool to see those side to side. I never understood why it was that I liked some of the front ends on the Chevys and not others - looks like it was because I liked the later models. I'm not interested at all in the older look.

They look "softer" in my opinion, I had one on here that got painted way back a few years ago. At the time I did not know the difference and thought they changed they style of the grill only, you can see the gasp near the hood though.
