The "under destruction builds" supersize75k5 's driveway of despair and repair

I take it the lights are breaking off due the shock of the landings? You are not hitting anything with your truck.
Plastic snap together crap don't hold up very well.

Ya the leverage and weight of the light breaks the mounting panel that hold it, then once thats broke it goes for a ride and if I don't notice right away the light will dangle and break the harness plugs..then I run the damn light over..

One made out of sheet metal or reinforced with fiberglass might do the trick but.. I always have other things to fix so i never get to it.

Breakage for the night.. driverside ORI :doah: Decided after I lost the lights to do one last jump or two before loading it up and went way big on the air and lost the lower chamber/bumpstop portion on the ori.. I noticed the fluid but foolishly jumped it one more time and the lower grade 8 shock bolt failed.. shock was ok but between driving it back and loading it up the shaft got some deep scratches in it so it will need to be rebuilt/replaced. Might be a good time to put the kings back on.

EDIT... looks like my poly bumpstop failed and went to pieces, that my be the culprit and not the ori, not sure yet.

And at some point in the night I killed the main leaf on the passenger side deaver spring, looks like the shackle flipped on me and I must have landed in it just right:dunno:

So now I have to decide just how bad I want to take this to KOH to wheel sat after the race, plan was to leave wed or thursday with this behind the 06.. now I have some work to do:sign7:

I always recommend people carry a good donut.. hahaha:pimp:

Well the last two days have been a blast:thumb:

A buddy called me to go with him to pick up his sitster's old corolla to scrap it.. it was a 1 owner car before she got it and cherry.. well she is one hell of a screw up and on her 3rd dui.. So the wrecked car had to go.

Went to pick it up and found out the car had 127k on it:thumb: Glad she wrecked it quick, car has been sitting for a while.. aired up the tire, tossed in a new yellow top I had in the back of my truck and the thing purred to life..

Hmmm motor and trans for the mini truck project! Gave him 200.00 and it was mine!

Well it sat in the yard safely for a few days till I swapped out the busted ORI last night..

Had fun flipping it on its side, driving into and over things.. as long as we didnt wreck on to the hood or motor it was game:pimp: I feel bad killing a very fixable car as it just had a busted door but this was a great chance to get a great motor and transaxle for cheap!

After a while I put on some goggles and drove it around town, jumped it, drifted it, ran into anything I could then took i to the drive through and the gas station:haha: Looks were priceless!

I never thought to drive my old neon around after i crushed it with my truck. It would have needed fuel lines, a shift linkage, and hotwiring to get it to run, but that would have been cool.

well we made it a vert after running it over some more and my friends and my dog cruised it around for a few days :pimp: We then pulled the motor and scrapped the car.. I ended up with a 16.00 profit on it lol I am going to swap the motor, transaxle, cluster, wirng, steering column and everything into mini truck number 1

Mini truck #2 has also been kicking ass progress wise. Front suspension is hammered out, currently we are mounting the motor, 2 of three mounts are now finished and next will be the rear suspension.

Also been messing around with a bumper for the 06,

started with some 3/8" plate..should be good and strong once i fully box it:D

Its a long way from done, I have 3 of these lights so it may get 3 and not 2, also adding a winch behind this monster and some tube work on the side.

And as if I needed another project..

CIMG1703.jpg

04 rubicon, the front is toast, needs a new rubi 44 housing, link mounts are town, sway bar and the steering box, should be a nice little project:thumb:

Also scored a 81 280z, 1 owner, garaged 82k miles! The rear diff needs attention as it has a nasty gear whine but the car is crazy clean!! Plan is to sell it but it could be a neat ls swap candidate ..

Ok back to work:doah:

Corolla was a fun little time for sure! With a donut on there and my Gran Turismo stage 3 weight reduction it also did one hell of a tokyo drift:thumb:

Im frustrated right now though, I have been trying real hard to concentrate on one thing at a time but its just getting to be too much.

white truck needs help, I bought a 400 for it and another harness to send out to get reworked. Needs the cage finished; seats, harness's, and I am thinking about a 1 piece front clip, new light mounts and lowering the truck and going down to 40-42's along with more power at some point if I can ever have the truck not need work long enough to get there.:doah: Debating if I want to scrap the whole thing or charge forward and continue feeding the pig $$$

Poor buggy..needs... um.. everything:doah: Just started the rear 4 link last night, next is ordering the aluminum links and jumping into a 14 bolt front:pimp:

Mini truck.. #2 is kicking ass but #1 is getting no love

Jeep project, Ill call this a side project as I have no intention of wheeling it myself. Just ordered a new front 44 housing from the dealer, the whole initial planned cost of this project just went out the window as well as the work load as it needs all new brackets for much of the front.:doah:

06.. just cursed my bushings out of the new 52 inch leaf pack I want to use, plan to swap those in this weekend along with different shackles and 3-4 other small to-do's on it. The bumper is moving along but going taking some time.

Overwhelmed :tongue1:

When I look at all these projects I pretty much just want to turn around and go back inside.

I bet! Seems to me, priority number one would be the one with the service bed on it. Then mini truck number 2, then the buggy, then the jeep, then the truck with the ori struts, then mini truck number 1, then the buggy.
