The "under destruction builds" supersize75k5 's driveway of despair and repair

No more trans problems???? :whistle::whistle:

Now don't jinx me!

Actually installed the new 400 tran, torque converter and flexplate into the buggy last night so I can start fabbing up a trans and t-case mount.

Went with a stock stall 11" converter, should be a good baseline to figure things out and then after a power adder I can go from there.

Also painfully drilling all the chassis link mounts from 5;8" to .75" :1zhelp: figured I should never bend or break a bolt that big:thumb: 2 of them are impossible and I will have to buy or borrow a 90 degree drill or maybe consider cutting the whole mount off and welding on a new one:doah:

Ordered my new misalignments from Andrew @letzrolloffroad, killer price compared to others. He also has made all of my 2" links as well.

After hours of reading, thinking, sitting in the seat seeing where my hand would reach or interfere with crap I finally came up with my design for the switch panel.

top row

space 1- switch with red labeled cover for winch as " PLAN B" with red led light with brker
space 2- winch switch, labeled IN and out and WINCH up top
space 3-ignition switch with green labeled cover, with green led light with breaker on bottom
space 4-start button, with yellow "CHECK ENGINE" light led above, with breaker n bottom
space 5-ENGINE FAN labeled switch, with green led with breaker on bottom
space 6-TRANS FAN labeled switch with green led with breaker on bottom
space 7-CB labeled switch with blue led with breaker on bottom
space 8-TUNES labeled switch with blue led with breaker on bottom
space 9-OBA labeled switch with blue led with breaker on bottom
space 10-GPS labeled switch with blue led with breaker on bottom

bottom row

space 11-DOME LIGHTS labeled switch with yellow led with breaker on bottom
space 12-HEAD LIGHTS labeled switch with yellow led with breaker on bottom
space 13-SPOT LIGHTS labeled switch with yellow led with breaker on bottom
space 14-FLOOD LIGHTS labeled switch with yellow led with breaker on bottom
space 15-ROCK LIGHTS labeled switch with yellow led with breaker on bottom
space 16-REAR LIGHTS labeled switch with yellow led with breaker on bottom
space 17-RACE LIGHTS labeled switch with yellow led with breaker on bottom
space 18-AUX labeled switch with yellow led with breaker on bottom

stager two 12 volt cigarette lighter plugs with covers on opposite ends in the center of the panel.

separator tube handle thingys on both ends of the top row, and dividing switched 2 and 3, and 6 and 7 .

Along the top of the panel ORGAN DONOR RACING

Its a weeeee bit crazy and in depth but awesome at the same time.

Any thoughts or input is welcome or feel free to toss out ideas on what you would change, ditch or add. Damn 4 am and I slipped up on the spelling of donor .. doh!

There are led indicators above where needed and 20 amp resettable breakers below each switch 21 amp. Wiring to be 16 gauge.

Going to have 12voltguy.com make it or www.oceanstatelaser.com

Jeebus, is it the Space Shuttle?

Now in all fairness I held back a little

A few things didn't make the list..

-heater
-seat heaters
-PA and siren "will power the on to this box with the cb"
-strobes, maybe will tie in with the rear race lights
-race radio, could tie in with the ipod and amp or cb
-left- right turn switch..going to use my hand of the rubbin is racing approach

Also included the tail lights on the head light circuit but could and wanted to put those separate.

The race lights will be a blue and amber light and serve as a "don't flippin hit me from behind if I stop or pull over.

Its crazy how much I wanted on there and how much bigger it still could be:doah: That paper is 11"x8.5" and it is all to scale for the size panel.

Also looking into ordering my wiring runs for this so they can be cnc labeled every few inches and make trouble shooting stupid easy. If anyone knows of a shop that will do this on a small scale I want it!

Oops, didnt see that on ma phone. So that just sends power and the one next pulls in and out. Gotcha now lol
:doah:

Yup, front the dash console will be nice for recovery and holding the brakes, as well as a front suck down.

had some fun this weekend, BIG BIRD, as its being called is a good time, rides smooth, steering needs work but I knew it would.

No breakage, but the next day I broke a knuckle, decided to drive it three miles backwards rather than walk to get the truck and trailer:haha:

Looks like alot of fun! Sure a long hood on the flaty/buggy.

Looks cool man!:thumb:

Added a nice truck to the fleet finally:thumb:

Nicely loaded with 25k miles, blue tooth, tint, reverse camera, steering wheel control hoopla, built in trailer brake, a nice 52 aftermarket gallon tank:woot:, back up sensors, remote start and some other junk and was able to find one in my favorite color.. Summit white:pimp:

My only requirements is that is needed to be a LMM duramax, white, have power crap, 4 door and a stock-no lift GMC being I like the front end better.

Call your dates of death:popcorn:

Thats funny :haha:....call your dates of death...lol

Nice, you can leave it stock for long. What year is that..? I thought the one all the way to the right you traded..?

Same here, I thought that was for the buggy...

Good for you though man, I think it says something about yourself where you can afford all these toys and continue to fuel your hobby!

Shawn, has the "new" truck seen the 07 yet? If not maybe you should wait awhile, the new one may get scared and just commit suicide to prevent the inevitable :D.

Sorry for the confusion,

Yes the 06 is going to my friend James still, the ball joints were shot to hell and I still needed to remove the lights, tool box and the brakes are a bit spongy. It will need tires before he drives it as these ones are dry rotted but other than that it should be a fun truck for him.

The buggy did good but managed to break a knuckle around the corner from my house:whistle: Also the skid plate needs a redo because when I dropped on it it went up and the flex plate touches it now, what a lovely noise:rolleyes: Should be able to take it out sunday I hope.

The new to me truck is an 09. A new one just didn't make sense in many ways and being they have the damn tank that hangs so low on the right, from what I understand the LMM is the same other than the exhaust set up as my LBZ.

I honestly have no plans yet for it, a tool box, strobes and air bags are really all that comes to mind just yet. Not sure what my plans are with the other duramax, but I think I might sell it and buy a single cab for work use.

There will be an "airborne" photo of the new truck within 6 months....
