The "under destruction builds" supersize75k5 's driveway of despair and repair

Yup, two week old 2012 platnum edition tundra.. This guy has me beat!

Yes they covered my cost and them sum, dinner was awesome too. They had a great attitude and it went smooth along with we were able to hussel and get back to the truck before dark and away from those nasty shelf roads.

Good times :). Nothing like playing hookey and wheeling during thw week!

So tonight I get another call for adventure..

Friend matt, kelsey, justin we on an adventure of their own and ran into a icy snowy trail they could not get back off of.

Thankfully cells worked as they didnt prepare for this at all.

So we get them unstuck and pull him out of the way and as we are ready to leave we get word from a jeeper that there is a truck stuck at the bottom a couple miles further in..:doah:

So we load up everyone in my truck and head back in the mess..

thats when the beauty of ice under snow, wheelbase and dumb luck started sliding the rear out from under while we went around a corner:eek1: Pic does not due enough justice but it wanted to go ass first down a nasty hill with the right rear tire dropping out and the rear sliding around to help it do so all while the front bumper was into exposed roots on the rocky hillside.. yay

We got out, unloaded it so we didn't have a yard sale if it did go, then tied a strap around a pine tree with a shackle on the hitch, this way we could go forward but the rear could not slide out further and take me down.

After this method, digging the icy slurry out of the way and building a shelf into the hill for the tire we got her out. Then made the way back to the second truck " 91 chevy 1500 with broken 4x4 actuator", then tugged him up the hill while hugging the corners, while pushing the tacoma "2wd":doah: up the road with a tire between our bumpers:pimp:

Damn glad I didn't take the new duramax, the 07 got herself a work out tonight!

Good times!

And before this adventure took the lovely lady out I have been seeing:pimp:

She actually twisted my hand to take her out in the buggy:woot: Well we had a blast, bottomed out the skid to where it made contact with the flex plate.. so it sounds like a pissed off pigeon.

Got her to drive it, and surprisingly seeing and walking her through it over rocks was a blast and very fun for me as well.

I had he get a short vid of me jumping it till the camera died too.. will load that in a min:D

same area you jumped the 06 in your avatar?

Never would have jumped the 06 like that, but yes same area I jumped the 07 single cab.

Will have to go back with my other camera, got it to launch pretty good!

This buggy has proved to be a lot of fun.

Well looks like the dana 70 rear is coming out of the buggy:D

Scored a fresh no use installed arb with new richmond 4.88 gears and disk brakes..

Ill have Andrew over at letzroll offroad shave the axle and machine down the ring gear, add a Artec 14 bolt truss and we be in business.:pimp:

Did you remove the adjuster retainers, or did the guy you bought the axle from decide they were optional?

I was playing with it while debating to put this in the steering front or leave it in the axle as the rear.

Current plan is to leave the front with a spool and broached spicers and run a arb with cutting brakes in the rear.

Hey Shawn, did you meet anyone from Iowa yesterday?

Friend of mine is in down there visiting, he put a picture of your buggy on my face book. Out at Sycamore creek. Said you had a broken spring on your trailer.

Ah yes I know who you are talking about now:D

lol about that spring... so I tied it up and went on my merry way till the axle moved and popped the tire.. so then had to winch the axle forward "thank god I finally installed my new trailer winch" and drove the bitch home on 3 tires and rim:pimp:

AAAAHHHHH the smell and warm feeling of progress!
