The "under destruction builds" supersize75k5 's driveway of despair and repair

try a set of these out?

they're less than $100 and are supposed to work.
other than that, Carli makes a set of long travel air bags for their suspensions, I imagine it would be doable to swap them in if needed.

Badass.

HATED how my 97 2500 burb rode with bags, stock. Lots of weird motions out of the rear suspension, only with highway use.

Cantilever the airbags on a 3:1 ratio so 6" of bag travel is 18" of travel at the axle.

You could also use a 1:1 ratio cantilever with a quick disconnect link, similar to a sway bar disconnect.

You will have to use linkage of some sort and tuck the bags way up under the bed, you won't find an airbag to put on the axle with as much travel as you're looking for.

Too mas el worko

Ill fly you down here and ill have you do it:deal:

If you need ill give you jim coles phone #, he answers text better than calls. I sent you a pm about it. Like I said tho you can also look on the james duff site. The bushings for the arms, heims and the mounts for the channel frames look to be the same. Take a look, its worth the time... Even send him a facebook message.

For instance I had a noise I couldn't find, it drove me nuts. Only happened on rough roads or big bumps. One of the big heims had play and the noise was the ball. He sent me a new pair within four days...worked for me. I put the air bags on the rear of my hd, if I leave more than 5 lbs in them it rides horrible. I keep then at 3-4 lbs and its all good.

At this point I'm feeling like getting on a plane and checking out his city

Ill try texting him and see what I can do for you. Do like I said look at james duff parts. Its the same stuff, take a look. Then you can get your project started.

Edit I just sent him a facebook message too

He got back to me within 15 minutes, he said he doesn't remember any phone messages or text from you. I gave him your number, I guess he will call or text you.

So a lot of crazy stuff going on..

First..

Just bought this bad boy yesterday ..for an event tonight

Also picked up a couple more 2500hd trucks, decided with the sas starting soon I needed another back up tow rig so I can keep playing. Then I went a little crazy :) tossed some new tires on the extended cab, swapping in a govlocked 14 cause this one is open. Then added a touch screen blue tooth jvc double din deck so I can have a back up camera and stop killing bumpers. The new radio also afforded me to add a sub and amp so I can jam out a little more on my long work days and pulling over for nap 5 hours from home won't suck anymore :thumb:

Samurai is still trying to find a way to fit in but I blew up both the lockright lockers now. Just had spools put in :thumb:

Rounding out the headaches is the front axle out of the 07 is tore down and ready to get dropped off to make it straight again. It's bent somewhere but no idea why:dunno:

And buggy is tore down, was some dirt around the intake lol. Working with a local speed shop for some bottom end work to hold nitrous, lots of cnc head work and a nice cam package, arp studs, beefy flex plate "cracked mine" and some other fun along the way I'm sure. My goal is to it 300hp to the ground before nitrous.

And to round it all out I've been wheeling a jeep since Moab still ! And managed to break it..

And lastly..I'm looking for a Winnebago to have brought out to koh and country thunder...but I want to lift it. In the early stages of taking but trying to find a ibeam front 21-23 footer. Looking at the brave model around 1972. I'm tempted to toss my divorced 205 in it but I think it would fall apart if I took it anywhere

I shake my head at myself every day. Also have a mustang convertible I just got running but I don't plan on hanging on to it. Friends wife is going to use it as a daily driver. Was super tempted to use it in the tuff truck competition but I figured it would leave me stranded early.

Then there is the k5 here too, that needs love

I think I'm trying to catch up with Allen up in Washington

We are going to need pics and vid of the tough truck event:haha::waytogo:

A new lengthy update from Shawn with plenty of pics, and yet there are no young females visible anywhere......

I call "fake". The real Shawn would never do this.

Definitely had a good time.

Short overview.

Bought a truck the day before but it didn't run. When I poured gas down the carb she purred great though. Got another 2 barrel carb, gasket, deleted the mufflers and sway bar, added some huge bumpstops and let her eat.

First round killed a tire and rim, but I had spares before round two. Couldn't steer much do to bad angles on the push pull set up:confused:

Second round aired it out, then decided to try to hit the monster truck car pile:pimp: made it over like a here but the dizzy cap hit the fire wall.

At the end went and got the duramax and trailer and pits were tight so I went into the arena..took everything in me not to kill the front end knowing I have a sas on the way lol. I did drift the truck and trailer over a couple bumps and around the track with the trans in first gear and the 5 inch straight pipe singing a nice tune:popcorn:

Loaded it up and let a guy with a buggy try to roll his junk clubbing on it. Good times. There is a tuff truck in two weeks up north. Ill be there :D
