The "under destruction builds" supersize75k5 's driveway of despair and repair

Test drive ;)

Why does this

make me think it would end up like this

From Austin Powers? :haha:

Was able to get the willys over to the exhaust shop,

Got the tube run up and nicely over the cross members and topped it off with a 400.00 motorcycle muffler I had :p

It's quiet at idle, has a spark arrestor and sounds neat.

That's pretty awesome, have a sound clip? I just imagine a pissed off Yamaha.

Should have went with screaming eagles.:haha:

I'll get a video up when I get back to playing with it,

Also, turns out I needed more parts, an eBay seller dropped the ball and other bs.

so I bought another willys :p

This one has a nice solid body, wish I had of found this one a year ago lol

This one has a much much nicer and complete windshield, a tail gate, a nicer fender up front I got and a better hood

saves me from having to chase down those parts and I won't be as rushed to make tube front fenders. I want to hide a tube structure under the stock fender to keep it looking correct, but not crunch it up in the rocks

So.. burning the midnight oil.

With air shocks this thing drive nuts, unloads and lifts the front end.

Solution.. buy two 2500lb atv winches with remotes to adjust ride hight till i do coil overs or ori struts.

Well then i realized my plan was going to kill my idea of having the main winch sit between the rails. This started a nightmare of bolting another new 9k winch, narrowing it 1.5 inches, moving the frame supprt, plates and reworking everything.

Many hours later, I just need to drill and tap one new cross bar for the winch and get some rope on it.

This allowed me to drop it 4 inches, keep the look of the grill i like and use one winch for a suck down and recovery.

yayyy.

Might paint it green before I go, you know, if I find the time lol.

I leave for moab in 75 hours ..no pressure:rolleyes:

Just got home from helping this guy, he is nuts.:eek1: hasn't slept in days and still going strong. Keep at it Shawn.:thumb: I expect tons of pics in Moab.

Thanks again, sadly when I'm super excited I have serious issues sleeping.

Thank god I'm not doing the driving Thursday morning.

Today was fruitful.

Lots of little things and things knocked off.

One of the let roll guys stopped by as ben and another friend and each knocked a few things off.

Jeff showed off and made a sexy steering resi, glad I told him to be creative and take his time I guess lol

What I like about you and the LetzRoll offroad guys is you are not getting things together at the last minute. You are prepared weeks ahead of time. :haha::haha::haha:

I know of no shop that is truly prepared ahead of time.

I think in going backwards..

decides to redo the front shock mounts, upper link mount and plate the frame.

The plasma cutter had an issue and I just killed my 2nd grinder.

I leave in 28 hours and it has to spend most of the day tomorrow at the spray in bed liner place lol

:pimp:
