Little progress, parts showing up. Its nice being able to make noise and be in the shop late. Projects at the house have always had to lack the late night hammer effect
Radiator is in, bunch of stuff mounted.
I always loathed removing my old seats and belts, it actually took longer to remove the seats than the whole trans removal itself combined with all the other pieces! The new PRP 5.3 belts are easy to adjust and I was able to order them as a clip in and pair them with a bad ass billet machined anchor.
Changing from steel bead lock rings to aluminum too. Seems the steel is better for crawling as the aluminum will lay over and gall, slicing tires with time. The steel is resistant to crawling but does not like high speed impacts, so aluminum it is. Ordered lots of spares for the future.
Also set out to address the power steering, this motor is much lower and further back in the chassis. To take advantage and maximize up travel I picked up a Goat built alternator and PS pump mount. This puzzle is not for the mentally fatigued at 3 am lol
And lastly, brake lines made and yada yada.
