Yep, it sounds like the comp kit should work just fine for what I need @folkenheath

The comp kit is nearly .100 longer, you are good with that? Can you look at some cylinders that are not bent and look at the rocker travel range? Just imagine the pushrod tip being .100 higher along with the nut and the pivot being in between there.

We could get you the same lengths you have with Howards. Or if you look at the geometry we can skew it a little longer or a little shorter depending on how it looks with what you have. Just let me know and I can get send an invoice and get some on the way.

And I have to admit I have not used the stock Gen VI rockers, but there are things that are alarming here, are you using a combination of adjustable and non adjustable parts?

1 - It appears a sleeve is protruding through the stock rocker, and it might be bottoming out on the stud?

2 - Are you sure with that sleeve going through the rocker that it isn't binding up with too short of slot with more lift?

3 - Umbrella seals suck...







Is this one going over the edge on contact?..its pretty close....the other intake mid lift does not look like that..

It's the ARP adjustable stud kit to replace the non-adjustable setup that was stock in gen5+. I hadn't noticed how close the sleeve was to bottoming out, but no, it isn't bottomed out. I will double check the slot/sleeve relationship, but I think there's plent of clearance.

As for the seals... yeah, I was kind of disappointed to see the unbrella seals. Jon took the heads to Ault & James in Dayton Oh which has been a respected shop for many decades and did good work for me a few years ago. However, I don't know what Jon discussed with him for work to be done.

Also, that #3 exhaust valve you have circled. The adjustment is backed all the way off.

That's just oil that had unfortunately taken up the space when I took the picture. Rocker contact is on the outer 1/3 in that picture, roughly.

It's gone, it was the 2nd picture on intake mid lift and it isn't there anymore, and I just copied and linked the URL from your post so since it's gone it didn't show up. It was the 130211 from your phone today, perhaps it was a wrong picture or something.
