Seems like it would be a blast, I think going fast is going to be more fun than going out in my suburban. I'll still have the suburban while I build this though.
The basic plan is to shorten my crew cab frame to about the wheel base of a short bed, around 110". I'll box the frame where it kicks up in the front so I don't have to worry about that.
I want to do an ls1, maybe a little head work and a cam, nothing too crazy, I want to keep the EFI. Seems like the cheapest way to do EFI
For suspension, I was thinking 56" in the front and 63" in the rear, leaves seems like it would just be simpler. Then what ever fancy shocks I can find. Maybe some air bumps also
For steering, I'm thinking about either, regular crossover with no assist, or full hydro, then is the part that I'm not sure about. I think the regular steering would feel better all around. I don't think the hydro assist will react fast enough.
1 ton axles, hopefully around 4500 pounds
This is all for now, just thinking outloud, time to sleep
Basically I want to copy this, I think his name is greenie k30 on here

, but a series instead of a single race. I think it was featured on a recent Extreme 4x4 episode.
