Don't forget that Eric has a good K5 tub sitting at his place... Wouldn't take much to put it on a rolling chassis!

Heck, if the Alaska trip doesn't pan out this year, I may have to drive down a little bit early to help assemble the thing

I'm a pretty sure it will be sitting in his garage still

I also have the Carcass of my "yellowk20" ....... this could work out well

You can rent a lifted Jeep Rubicon (with slightly larger tires than stock) right in Moab for around $900...

If you want to have the Moab experience with a minimum of hassles and repairs that might be the way to go. You'll take some ribbing for driving a Jeep at a Blazer event, but I'm sure you could survive it.

My buddy rented a a rubicon a few years back when we went to EJS the only trail that was off limits to them was Pritchett a pretty good deal really.

It may be what I do next year, but I'd still like to throw a rig together to leave in the lower 48 for wheeling vacations

Thank you. I sold the Dodge and ended up with a 1990 K5. I agree with renting the jeep. Youll probably have just as much fun for alot less money.
