The more I think about this the cooler I think it would be. Although I would keep the blazer overhang for sure, make the wheelbase around 125 or so. Which would not let it be a full 8 foot bed.

I think I would build it with the truck overhang. From a distance it would be a plain long bed truck, but when people looked closer they would have a "WTF?" moment. That would be great! One step further would be a full vert with one of the fiberglass half cabs.

8' bed. You'd have to use the Blazer cab roof to get the heights to match to the top and K5 rear floor for the tailgate to fit. Other than that, good to go.
