exactly , I don't like that High pitch cackle I like that deeper rumble you get with a bigger pipes and a healthy cam .All my trucks with the exception of my 86k-20 have extensive motor mods so the big pipes work good for me /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Shaggy what exhaust do you run and what's all done to your motor ? /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

<font color="green"> I have a Comp Cams Extreme cam (the 256 I think, meant for low end power and still passes CA smog tests) in an otherwise stock GM crate motor, and Hedman headers into dual 2.25" with 3 chamber Flowmasters. The exhaust turns out in front of the rear wheels. It's still probably only around 300hp/350ft/lbs, but my main desire was for reliablity when I put the motor in. It moves the truck along just fine and has plenty of power on the trail. Someday I'll stick a set of Vortec heads on it and maybe an underdriven 6-71 if the money tree ever comes into bloom. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif</font>

ha, same thing happend to me.. i was house sitting my older brothers apartments.. really nice place, but he lives by some old people, so one morning i went out and started her up..well u know diesels have to warm up, and it idles really high and its loud, its got dual exhaust,nothing special.. well i did this ever morning for like 4 days at 6am..haha! so when my brother got back, he said the office told him that he had about 6 noise complaints from a big white truck (me /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif ) haha its cool..i dont care, if people dont like it, tuff sh!$
