So I just ordered one for my cucv.....Opened it all up, layed it out..The instructions they sent are next to worthless..The pictures look like they have been photocopied 100x over..

Ive now tried to contact them 3 times..Never an answer.

So, I was wondering if anybody here has a picture of how the seals attach to the truck..I think I know, seems obvious, but with a $700 kit I want to verify first..

Any help is appreciated!

Really appreciate it if you can....Ive called softtopper 4 times today, left messages, and no response....From what I read this is unlike them, I hear nothing but good stuff....Thanks in advance xeno!! Hate having this much invested in a mod and its sitting there while I scratch my head

My soft top was the best investment I ever made in my truck. All I do in the summer is leave the sides up, 99% of the time my passengers are appreciative of the shade.

I would have to look at mine again, its been a couple years, but the first step is the back rail that bolts to the roofline. The seal wedges between that snap bar that bolts on and the cab.

Thats what I was thinking..Something to look at would be nice just to make sure though.

Also, is the seal that was there from my hardtop necassary? Hope not, I already ripped it off

Nope hard top seal is not needed. Mines still ripped

Some pics of mine, you have to drill 2 holes.

It's a pain to put it on the first time, once it stretches out It works well. I have had mine for a year and it has not faded.

Great top.....u wont be disappointed

Im lazy - had installed
Damn you are lazy lol :p Took me a nd one other person about an hour to get everything installed. One of the best truck related things I have ever bought

Great....Also got an email from softtopper with the manual in PDF form as well :waytogo:

So, started going together good...Seems simple enough...

I am getting really frustrated though...when attaching the canvas, it says in the instructions to snap it on the rear first (the rear bow) then pull forward to snap to the vertical snaps along the cab.

Everytime it keeps coming unsnapped at the rear and wont let me pull it forward..Over and over.I think there is some problem with these snaps..Compared to those everywhere else barely any tension will unsnap and pull them right off..

Will be calling them back again tomorrow.

It helps if its warm and the sun heats it up to stretch the top into place.

Was thinking that, i warmed my garage from 55 to 75 last night...Will let it sit and get warm all day and try tonight, unless Softtopper has other suggestions.

No warm sunlight anytime soon, it was 15 this morning :(

Do you have any water get in with these tops. Want to get on but after fixing all may rusted panels I don't want that problem again. Looks good though.

I get a little bit of water in mine, but it's only at the front (I have a 74) and actually getting it up is a bit of a pain, probably WAY easier for a 75+

I've emailed them with help on that as well as asking for more snaps but have not heard anything back - makes me wonder if they are going under.

Their snaps suck big time btw, definately do pilot holes as the screws strip retardedly easy.
