Have a 90 V2500 burb we don't use anymore and she is just sitting.
Blew the motor in the 79 and i was thinkin of partin the 90 for the motor.
Burbs don't sell very well anymore with the fuel costs so it makes sense
to part it as it has a 2ish year old gm crate motor...spent 1600 last year
on the trans rebuild...and 2k in work when i was in phx the same year.
So i'll never recoup what i have in it...but i'd rather sling a 6.5L or 6.2L
with a banks kit in the 79 and get away from the gas motors for ever.

What does the community think....part it or try and trade it off for something
with one of the 2 motors i want instead?

I would use what you have available, the money you save will go in the gas tank.

I work in the oil patch bud...money isn't really that much of an issue....i'd rather trade for a diesel burb or K5 so i have all the swap stuff i need and see the ole girl go to a good home.

Sell off your current burb, and try to find a newer 6.5 in a wrecked vehicle.
