Sending you the bill if the 3 inches of rear travel break my back..
I purchased their kit and I haven't installed it yet but I have no regrets on the price. the 3 link kit from ruff stuff dose not include the tubing if you read the bottom of the page were it tells you whats included you would know that. 2 in 250 is not cheap and you buy it by the foot.. if you look how cheap a universal kit is compared to their kit built for your truck you would understand. im not saying the ruffstuff kit is not good but its not the same thing....also not included on that kit is the steering pitman arm i didnt see crossover steering limit straps. all that shit cost money add it up... and think about it. if you have a problem with the price contact them and discuss it instead of publicity posting shit like a dickI have to be missing something... but I can't figure out what it is. So maybe you can tell me. Looking at your guy's kit I was just curious on pricing compared to others so I priced out what would be the same kit on ruff stuff and I get this.
http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/BASK.html
$724.75 total for radius arm kit(brackets, dom tube, and joints), pan hard kit(brackets, dom tube, and joints), and shock towers.
On your guys website from what i can gather you get the same "kit" for $1780
Top (Everything you need, bring your own shocks)
$1780 (Brackets, Joints etc, Tubing for links and Steering)
Thats a big price gap for what appears to be the same thing. So I have to be missing something and just looking for what it is?

I have their kit so send me a link that works instead of a empty basket link and I'll tell you everything different between them...well this is why I am asking on a thread that the someone involved with the company has started so that I could ask the question as to why the difference? Whats missing? So just because someone questions something they are being a dick?
regardless I'm still looking for clarification. there is a $1056 difference in price between what I posted above. The ruff stuff kit i linked does come with dom. and you added that fortify's kit comes with a pitman arm and limit straps where as ruff stuffs does not. Is that all? so take out $100 for those items, its still a $956 difference. So I'm assuming their has to be more? maybe the website isn't complete and or doesn't have all the info on the kit posted. idk thats why I'm asking?

yeah.... prove its not cgiCome on shcooba Steve I wanna see the video!!!!![]()
Yeah it's probably animatronics!!!yeah.... prove its not cgi
@Mr.Clean I'll start with a disclaimer, that I'm not bashing on RuffStuff at all, they make fantastic products.
That being said, this whole thing started when I bought those exact kits you posted, plus the steering kit, pitman arms, and so on. I spent weeks trying to figure out how to squeeze the trackbar and link mounts on the passenger side of my Dana 44. I ordered Ballistic fabrication brackets, hoping that would work better, but they never arrived. Even if they had the trackbar brackets from RuffStuff wouldn't have cleared the steering drag link, due to having to roll the bracket forward to fit it onto the axle. I probably wasted months of fabrication time trying to make these universal brackets work for my application.
What we offer is not what RuffStuff offers. They offer generic kits, that are mostly geared towards the Jeep chassis. Ours are application built for the square body Chevy, with brackets that will fit into the axle in a clean package. What the difference is is that we have spent many, many hours making sure that what we offer will fit on these trucks with little to no fuss. You won't have to spend hours trying to squeeze it all in. They're also low profile, kept tight to the axle, to maximize available uptravel.
Also, some of it is aesthetics. We've tried to keep things clean looking. The whole bracket is integrated in, fits tightly between the knuckle and leaf perch on the passenger side, making it look like it belongs there. We've combined mounting between the shock tower and trackbar mounting, once again to make it look integrated, not like you bought a bag of generic, universal brackets, and welded them on to your frame.
Our towers are also designed to avoid needing to put U-joints in your steering, which is a $260 bill if you buy all new.
What we offer is our hours worth of work that we've put in to making these specific trucks to make these trucks do some really amazing stuff. I can't even quantify the amount of time I've personally put in to this project. If you're willing to spend those hours to make random pieces work together, and save some money, then that's fine. If you want something that can be welded together, slapped on the truck, and have a complete coilover system in a few weekends of work, that is what we offer.
Each of our kits is custom ordered. We'll have a phone or email conversation with you to verify what your truck is, which axle you have, what diameter your axle tube is. When you tell us which shock you want to run, we can recommend a shock tower height that will maximize uptravel. We'll customize the towers to the height that you need for your shock.
It's up to the customer to decide what the value of their time and energy is. To some people, they'd rather spend a lot of time making their own stuff, I'm one of those people myself honestly. I love the designing and fabrication process. Other people would rather spend some extra money to save the time and energy, so they can go out and have fun driving their trucks.
